Boxy 3 Lets You Customize Home Screen Layout In iOS 10

Those who like to change their iPhone look and feel have a great chance to customize Home screen layout in iOS 10 using jailbreak tweaks from Cydia. There are many jailbreak tweaks of this nature in Cydia and if you have jaibroken device you can try new one dubbed as Boxy 3 by iOS developer William Vabrinskas with this tweak you’ll have access to a whole host of Home screen app icon layout settings to your device.

Boxy 3 is available for $1.99 from Cydia’s ModMyi repository so to get started you should pay money and install it on your device. Note that Boxy 3 works only with jailbroken iOS 10 devices.

After installation you can start to customize Home screen layout in iOS 10 by swiping up on the Home screen with one finger to reveal the Quick Settings interface shown on the screenshot above. It includes sliders for adjusting the following things:

  • Horizontal app icon padding
  • Vertical app icon padding
  • Side inset of your app icons
  • Top inset of your app icons

As you adjust the sliders, you’ll see their effects on your Home screen app icons in real time. 

At the top of the interface you'll find three controls: a minimization button for shrinking the interface, a grabber for moving the interface around on your screen, and a close button for exiting the interface.

Boxy 3 also brings its preferences pane to the Settings app from where you can configure a some other options:

Note that the settings with asterisks next to them require a respring to take effect. Just hit the “Apply Changes” button that is included in the main preferences pane to apply and save your settings and respring your device.
