How To Make The App Switcher Home Screen Card More Consistent In iOS 10

Those users who have jailbroken iPhone can now make the App Switcher Home screen card more consistent in iOS 10 with new tweak called HomeCardIconLabel, that has recently hit the Cydia. The App Switcher on your iPhone has a Home screen card in addition to those for each of your recently used apps. Each of your recently used apps has its own header with an icon and label above it, while the Home screen card is displayed without these elements.

That's why iOS developer DGh0st fixes that omission in iOS with releasing HomeCardIconLabel jailbreak tweak. This Cydia tweak makes the App Switcher Home screen card more consistent in iOS 10 by adding both a label and icon to the top of the its Home screen card.

As you can see on the picture above the small icon and the label are exactly the same size as all the rest of your App Switcher cards and it looks as the native UI element in iOS.

HomeCardIconLabel is a simple tweak that brings only an aesthetic touch to App Switcher Home screen card. So if you want your App Switcher Home screen card has a its own header with an icon and label then you should definitely give HomeCardIconLabel tweak a try.

This jailbreak tweak is available from Cydia’s BigBoss repo for free. HomeCardIconLabel works fine only with jailbroken iOS 10 and iOS 9 devices. It doesn't has any options to configure, this means that once you install it, the tweak will immediately add header with an icon and label to your App Switcher Home screen card.

I don't understand why Apple didn't add the header to App Switcher Home screen card by default, but that's where having a jailbroken device is a big advantage.
