NoSpot10 Tweak Removes Spotlight Search From iOS 10 iPhone

If you don't like Spotlight and it always ends up in your face then you can remove Spotlight search from your iOS 10 iPhone installing new Cydia tweak called NoSpot10 by CydiaGeek. Let's see how to install the tweak and how it actually works.

How To Remove Spotlight Search From iPhone

NoSpot10 tweak allows you to disable Spotlight in a system-wide manner, leaving you with simpler widget pages on the Home screen, Lock screen, and Notification Center. The drag-down gesture from the Home screen can also be disabled, which means you won’t accidentally open Spotlight anymore when trying to launch Notification Center either.

It’s worth noting that the tweak doesn’t disable the widget pages entirely, so if you enjoy using your widgets, and just don’t have a use for the Spotlight search function itself, then you should try this jailbreak tweak.

NoSpot10 can be downloaded for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repo. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 10 devices and will add a preferences pane to the Settings app right after installation. Here you can toggle each feature on or off on demand:

Hit respring button that is included in preference pane to save your settings every time you make changes.
The tweak gives you a great ability to pick and choose where Spotlight stays enabled and where it becomes disabled. So now you can to selectively keep it in one or two places in iOS and disable it everywhere else.

Those users who don't want to remove Spotlight search from iOS 10 iPhone entirely, as they use it from time to time can try another jailbreak tweak, called No Spotlight BG Mask. This tweak removes the background mask from Spotlight search results in iOS 10, making the result screen look better.
