New Tweak Removes Background From Spotlight Search Results In OS 10

If you want to remove the background from Spotlight search results in iOS 10 then you should try new jailbreak tweak called No Spotlight BG Mask. You may be familiar with the tweak NoSpot10 that removes Spotlight search from your device entirely. But if you use Spotlight from time to time, but just wish there was more you could do with it to make the interface look better, then No Spotlight BG Mask is for you.

Developed by Justin Petkovic this jailbreak tweak simplifies the way your Spotlight search results look. It removes the background mask in Spotlight search/suggestions to give it a beautiful sleeker look and feel. On the screenshot above you can see exactly what gets removed after you install No Spotlight BG Mask tweak on your device. The end result is a UI that isn’t so busy to the eyes.

So if you want to try No Spotlight BG Mask tweak to see if you like how the end result looks, you can grab it for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repo. The tweak is developed to work on both jailbroken iOS 10 and iOS 9 devices.

Once the tweak is installed, No Spotlight BG Mask will add a dedicated preferences pane to the Settings app where you can turn the tweak on or off on demand:

To save your changes hit the respring button at the bottom of the preference pane. No Spotlight BG Mask’s tweak effects on your jailbroken device are purely aesthetic, so there won’t be any differences to the way your Spotlight search results are presented to you.

So if don't use Spotlight search at all then you can use NoSpot10 tweak to remove this feature from your device entirely. But if you want to add some aesthetic change and make content to look more organized then No Spotlight BG Mask is for you.
