Is There A Jailbreak For iPhone 7 Or iPhone 7 Plus?

It has been almost two weeks since Apple started to sale its new handsets and now many users are interested is there a jailbreak for iPhone 7. According to recent report Luca Todesco aka qwertyoruiop, the popular Italian iOS hacker, who some say has been trolling us by demoing jailbreaks, has managed to jailbreak iPhone 7.

The hacker has posted the photo of Cydia running on the iPhone 7 on Twitter.

As it can be seen from the screenshot above the hacker shows Cydia that is running on iOS 10.0.1 on iPhone9,3, which is the model number of iPhone 7.

Apple left its kernel unencrypted when it rolled out early versions of the iOS 10 beta in an effort to find and fix vulnerabilities faster. But it seems the company wasn’t able to eliminate all of them before iOS 10 made its public debut last week.

Luca Todesco had also released a teaser video to show that he had successfully jailbroken iOS 10. But don't hope that the hacker will release this iOS 10 iPhone 7 jailbreak for the community. He developed it for personal use, and he won’t be launching it for public eye. That means your dream of getting jailbreak apps and tweaks on your brand new iPhone 7 won’t become a reality just yet.

Nevertheless, there is a jailbreak for iPhone 7 and this is still a promising development. If Tedesco has been able to jailbreak the iPhone 7 this quickly, it gives us hopes that Pangu or TaiG team will release a jailbreak for iOS 10 which will also support iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus very soon. That’s if Apple doesn’t patch the vulnerability that makes this possible in its next iOS 10 update, of course. The latest jailbreak available for iDevices users is Pangu tool for iOS 9.2-9.3.3. So if you are jailbroken stay away from updating to iOS 10.

How To Make Paragraph Text Selection In iOS 9.3.3 More Precise

If your iDevices is jailbroken you can make paragraph text selection in iOS 9 real fun with new Cydia release known as BetterTextSelection. There are a lot of users who use iOS‘ text selection and find it developed just fine, but there are others who really dislike the way it’s implemented and looking for apps or tweaks to make it more improved and easy in use.

BetterTextSelection tweak aims to make the text selection feature in iOS a little more precise, especially in the context of selecting large excerpts of text from blocky paragraphs on a web page.

How To Make Paragraph Text Selection In iOS 9 More Precise

In any WebKit-enabled app on your iOS device, or simply in Safari, you might notice that when you try and select a large portion of a paragraph, around 70-80% of it, the selection grabbers will automatically capture the whole paragraph, as shown on the top post picture on the left.

For many user, this is an unacceptable solution that we want to pick the entire paragraph and make this problem really annoying. But BetterTextSelection tweak does away with that stupid assumption to make it easier to fine-grain your text selection from blocky paragraphs on jailbroken iOS 9.3.3 iPhone.

So in order to make paragraph text selection in iOS 9 more precise head to Cydia and grab BetterTextSelection for completely free of cost. The tweak doesn’t offer any options to configure.

Once you install this new jailbreak tweak, you can start to precisely select paragraph of text in WebKit-enabled apps right away without iOS automatically selecting the whole paragraph, as shown on the top post picture on the right.

For those who frequently work with text on their jailbroken iOS 9.2-9.3.3 devices BetterTextSelection tweak will be a great helper for solving text selection tasks.

During a lockout time frame, you’ll be unable to launch the app until after the time frame expires.

It is also possible to turn the tweak on or off from the settings of the app in case you really might need to bypass the lock, such as an important text message you can’t miss. You can also hide or show alerts when apps are locked and choose a UI theme of your choice.

When you tap on an app, you will get an editing interface that allows you to select the lockout time frame you wish to be locked out of an app for:

You will also notice the times display in 24-hour format, but when you’re picking a time from the time rotary picker, they are in 12-hour format, so you don’t need to know 24-hoour time to use this tweak.

When you put the time limit on any app the next time will try to launch an app that is locked, you will get this alert instead of the app opening on our device as shown on the top post picture.

How To Add New Songs At The Top Of Spotify Playlists In iOS 9

If your iPhone is jailbroken you can easily put new songs at the top of Spotify playlists in iOS 9. Usually when you add new songs in Spotify playlists they appear at the bottom of the list, that is very unhandy. But a new free jailbreak tweak known as Tweakify aims to fix this problem.

Rather than adding new songs to the bottom of your song playlists, this tweak adds them to the top so they’re easier to find while still preserving the ability to move and re-order your tracks on your own afterwards.

So follow the review below to learn how to setup the Tweakify tweak.

How To Put New Songs At The Top Of Spotify Playlists In iOS 9

If you frequently use Spotify you know that one of the popular features is that you the music tagged with Shazam was automatically added to a special playlist in your Spotify app. This allowed you to listen to anything you tagged without having to add it myself later on.

But many users complained that they really disliked was how the new music would be added to the bottom of the playlist. So if you would like to listen to the new songs you have to listen to all your old songs before you ever got to the new ones. But Tweakify tweak changes this.

So in order to get the ability to put new songs at the top of Spotify playlists in iOS 9 head to Cydia. Once there search for Tweakify tweak that is available as a free download package. Tweakify doesn't have any options to configure and it’ll get to work right after you install it on your jaibroken iPhone or iPad.

Tweakify makes things a bit different however by putting newly-added songs at the top of your Spotify playlists. In doing so, these are going to become the first songs that play when you start playing a Spotify playlist from the top, and this offers you a refreshing change of tune as you discover new music to add.

It’s a relatively small tweak, but it’s a nice one at that to have in your collection of jailbreak tweaks. The Tweakify tweak requires the Spotify app, which if you don’t already have, is a free download from the App Store.

New Cydia Release Improves Fullscreen Scrolling Experience In Safari In iOS 9

Do you want to improve fullscreen scrolling experience in Safari in iOS 9, then new Cydia release called SafariFullScreenScrolling will help you to do it. As our iPhones don’t have as large and immersive of a display as computer does, SafariFullScreenScrolling tweak cleans up the interface of Safari on your iPhone while you’re scrolling around to give you a much nicer full-screen effect.

iOS already tries to go full-screen when you’re browsing by shrinking down the size of the navigation bar and hiding the bottom bar entirely, but this tweak takes things a step further by completely hiding all of the bars as you scroll.

How To Improve Fullscreen Scrolling Experience In Safari In iOS 9

In order to improve fullscreen scrolling experience in Safari in iOS 9 on your jailbroken iPhone head to Cydia and download SafariFullScreenScrolling tweak absolutely for free. The tweak works with all iOS 9 devices, including the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. What is important there are no options to configure, so you can start using the tweak immediately after you install it.

On the animated GIF below you can see how the tweak works:

As you can see, the top bar completely disappears when you start scrolling. The tweak will even hide the iOS status bar. This gives you a truer full-screen web browsing experience that the stock iOS standards can’t touch.

When you scroll back up to the top of the web page, both the top navigation bar and bottom action button bar in Safari come back into view so you can interact with them if you needed to.

The bars are never too far out of reach to get back, and overall, this tweak dedicates more of the limited screen space you have to displaying more web content at a glance.

SafariFullScreenScrolling tweak is a really great addition to Safari as it provides a rich fullscreen scrolling experience for every user who have jailbroken device. The tweak works so seamlessly that after sometime you will forget there is a tweak installed and will think of it as a stock feature.

How To Keep Track Of Cellular Data Usage In iOS 9

If you have jailbroken iPhone you can try new jailbreka tweak called CellularMonitor that helps you to keep track of cellular data usage in iOS 9. Every day ee consume more cellular data on our iPhone than we think. Although your carriers are aiming to increase that rate while keeping your bill at the same cost, some users still have data limitations.

If you still have small data allowances, then it’s good to keep track of the usage to avoid a massive bill at the end of the month. With CellularMonitor tweak installed you can rest assured you won’t be going over your data limits ever again.

Here is short review on how this tweak actually works.

How To Keep Track Of Cellular Data Usage On iOS 9.3.3 iPhone

You can use CellularMonitor to set up alert intervals that will help let you know when you’re getting close to your cap, and when you actually get to your limit, the tweak will disable cellular data automatically so you don’t get charged for data overages.

In order to keep track of cellular data usage in iOS 9 head to Cydia and grab CellularMonitor for free of charge.

After installing the tweak, the developer recommends rebooting your jailbroken iOS 9 iPhone so it can fully take effect. If you jailbroke with Pangu on iOS 9.3.3, this means you’ll need to boot up semi-untethered, so keep this in mind. Once done, you can start configuring the tweak and try to use it.

You need to head to tweak's preferences pane in the Settings app to configure your data warning intervals and set up your billing period refresh rate.

As you can on the screenshot above, you are given text fields for a first, second, and final warning. After the final warning is triggered, the tweak automatically turns your cellular data off and you’ll have to toggle it back on manually at your convenience.

Another field allows you to put in your current data usage, which is helpful if you install this tweak in the middle of your billing period and need to give it somewhere to start. You can also configure reset intervals so the tweak automatically restarts its counter every billing cycle.

CellularMonitor is a smart tweak that knows how help you not go over data limit on your jailbroken iPhone.

How To Add A Day Night Theme To Toggle Switches In iOS 9

If you are happy with your jailbroken device you can also try new Cydia release that adds a day night theme to toggle switches in iOS 9. DayNightSwitch is a new customization tweak for iOS 9.3.3 devices that changes the theme of the on and off switches in iOS to make them look more fancier and reflect the time of the day.

What the tweak does is that it applies two different themes to the on and off states of iOS switches, one based on daylight and the other for night. When you turn on a toggle, you will notice that the switch turns into light blue color to represent the sky along with a sun and cloud icon on it. On the other hand, if you turn it off, it will have a dark background with a moon icon.

If you want to try this new jailbreak tweak follow the guide below to learn how setup everything.

How To Add A Day Night Theme To Toggle Switches

In order to add a day night theme to toggle switches in iOS 9 head to Cydia and download DayNightSwitch tweak absolutely for free. If you are on iOS 9.2-9.3.3 and you are not jailbroken use Pangu tool to liberate your iPhone and then enable day night theme on it.

Once the tweak is installed, you’ll find a new preferences pane in Settings dedicated to DayNightSwitch. From there, you can apply the day/night theme to the Do Not Disturb toggle only or enable it for all the toggles.

The initial idea behind the tweak was only to affect the Do Not Disturb toggle switch because the little day and night theme is intended to simulate the times of the day that you’re awake or asleep.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper jailbreak tweak if the developer didn’t give you the choice to enable it system-wide if you wanted to, so he threw that option in there too for you viewing pleasure.

After all the changes are made, don't forget to press the respring button to apply all your configurations.

There Is No Public iOS 10 Jailbreak Tool Available For Download Yet

Those who are trying to find iOS 10 jailbreak tool to download should know that currently there is no public jailbreak available for this firmware version. Ahead of Apple's next major software release many iDevices users are interested whether it will be possible to jailbreak iOS 10 or if it would be better to stay on the latest iOS 9 version and wait for jailbreak solution to be launched.

Just yesterday the Italian developer and security researcher Luca Todesco has published a YouTube video demonstrating a working jailbreak running on iOS 10 beta 8. This is not the first time when the hacker demonstrate the working jailbreak. Previously he managed to jailbreak iOS 9.3.4 shortly after Apple launched it to patch Pangu’s iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak.

But unfortunately Todesco wasn't going to release neither the previous jailbreak nor the one for iOS 10 beta 8. But we can say that hacker's video indicates that iOS 10 can still be jailbroken successfully despite Apple’s kernel patch protection (KPP), which has become a challenge for jailbreak teams in the most recent pre-release versions of iOS.

Todesco’s video shows Cydia running on a jailbroken 64-bit iPad running iOS 10 beta 8. This is the third iOS 10 jailbreak confirmation we’ve had since the first beta for the next big software update was released back in June.

It appears that the jailbreak yet again uses an app on the Home screen. The video kicks off with a one-tap jailbreak solution, after which the developer jumps right into Cydia to show that it works.
In conclusion we can say that Todesc's iOS 10 beta jailbreak release in video gives us a hope that Pangu team will do their best to make it possible to download iOS 10 jailbreak tool for iPhone after Apple will launch it to public.

How To Disable The Clock App’s Icon Animation In iOS 9

If you have jailbroken device you can easily disable the Clock app’s icon animation in iOS 9 with new Cydia release called LiveIconDisabler. As you may know with iOS 7 release Apple officially implemented animated hour, minute, and second hands to the Clock app’s icon that to reflect upon the actual time. LiveIconDisabler tweak gives you the power to disable them.

How To Disable The Clock App’s Icon Animation On iOS 9.3.3 iPhone

In order to disable the Clock app’s icon animation in iOS 9 your device must be jailbroken. Currently Pangu jailbreak tool is the only jailbreak available for iOS 9.2-9.3.3 devices. If you're already jailbroken head to Cydia and download LiveIconDisabler tweak for free. Once done install it on your device.

LiveIconDisabler doesn’t have any options to configure; after installation, it goes to work immediately and will turn off the Clock app’s icon animation on your iPhone right away. Note that it won’t affect the Calendar app, which updates the date on the icon on a daily basis.

The developer behind the LiveIconDisabler claims the tweak will save battery life by reducing the amount of GPU usage you’d normally be using from having an animated Clock app icon, but I have a hard time believing it’s going to be anything significant.

As far as power usage is concerned, that claim is probably a load of fluff, but for anyone who doesn’t like having unnecessary animations on the Home screen, this tweak could be worth looking into.

There is also another interesting tweak called Vettr that sets Apple Watch style nightstand clock when charging your iOS 9.3.3 iPhone. Once the tweak is installed and your device is connected to power source you’ll see your typical Lock screen, and just after a few seconds later the phone will display the time and battery level in the center of the black screen.
