It has been almost two weeks since Apple started to sale its new handsets and now many users are interested is there a jailbreak for iPhone 7. According to recent report Luca Todesco aka qwertyoruiop, the popular Italian iOS hacker, who some say has been trolling us by demoing jailbreaks, has managed to jailbreak iPhone 7.
The hacker has posted the photo of Cydia running on the iPhone 7 on Twitter.
As it can be seen from the screenshot above the hacker shows Cydia that is running on iOS 10.0.1 on iPhone9,3, which is the model number of iPhone 7.
Apple left its kernel unencrypted when it rolled out early versions of the iOS 10 beta in an effort to find and fix vulnerabilities faster. But it seems the company wasn’t able to eliminate all of them before iOS 10 made its public debut last week.
Luca Todesco had also released a teaser video to show that he had successfully jailbroken iOS 10. But don't hope that the hacker will release this iOS 10 iPhone 7 jailbreak for the community. He developed it for personal use, and he won’t be launching it for public eye. That means your dream of getting jailbreak apps and tweaks on your brand new iPhone 7 won’t become a reality just yet.
Nevertheless, there is a jailbreak for iPhone 7 and this is still a promising development. If Tedesco has been able to jailbreak the iPhone 7 this quickly, it gives us hopes that Pangu or TaiG team will release a jailbreak for iOS 10 which will also support iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus very soon. That’s if Apple doesn’t patch the vulnerability that makes this possible in its next iOS 10 update, of course. The latest jailbreak available for iDevices users is Pangu tool for iOS 9.2-9.3.3. So if you are jailbroken stay away from updating to iOS 10.
