How To Download And Install iOS 10 On iPhone

Clean Installation:

Before start the installation process we recommend to take a complete backup of your iDevice to either iCloud or using iTunes to your PC. Once you are done follow the steps below to install iOS 10 IPSW file on your device.

Also to proceed with the installation make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of iTunes, iTunes 12.4.3 on your Mac or Windows PC.

Step 1: Download the iOS 10 IPSW file tailored for your iDevice from this direct link: 


Step 2: Disable Find My iPhone on your iPhone by heading to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone toggle it to off.

Step 3: Then connect your device to PC and open iTunes.

Step 4: On the next screen select your iOS device from Summary tab under Settings.

Step 5: Now if you are on a Mac, hold the Alt key or if you are on Windows PC, hold the Shift key, and then click on the Restore iPhone.

Step 6: iTunes will now prompt you to select the .IPSW file you downloaded in the Step 2. Choose it.

Now wait for few minutes till iTunes will install iOS 10 IPSW fileon your device. Once it is installed, your device will boot directly into iOS 10 Hello screen.

OTA Update Installation:

The fastest and the easiest way to download and install iOS 10 on iPhone is to get it via the OTA update mechanism in iOS. 

Make sure you took backup of your personal data just in case anything goes wrong. Also your iDevice should have at least 4GB of free space and charged over 50%. Once you have done, simply navigate to Settings > General > Software Update to start the update installation.

Lastly if you have jailbroken your iDevice and cannot live without your favorite jailbreak apps and tweaks then it is recommended that you avoid updating to iOS 10, until a tool is released to jailbreak iOS 10.
