Cuttlefish Tweak Tints 3D Touch Menu Backgrounds To Match The App Color

If your device is jailbroken you can tint 3D Touch menu backgrounds to match the app color with the new Cydia tweak called Cuttlefish. The tweak doesn’t tint the shortcut menu itself, but it touches the background blur. It spreads the color of the icon on the whole screen, which makes for a very pleasant view. This tweak brings aesthetic change and doesn't offer any functionality features.

How To Tint 3D Touch Menu Backgrounds To Match The App Color

Look at the top post picture. As you can see with Cuttlefish tweak using the 3D Touch on the App Store results a background blur that’s tinted blue. On the right side you can see the News app yields a pink tint.
Because the colors used are the dominant colors of the above mentioned app icons, the tinted blurred backgrounds really force the app icons stand out against any background that can be used.

Cuttlefish tweak really offers useful addition to 3D touch shortcuts that Apple can implement in a future software update to iOS. But can do it right now by downloading Cuttlefish tweak on your jailbroken iPhone from Cydia absolutely for free. The tweak supports iOS 9-iOS 10 versions, so even if your device is hacked with Luca Todesco’s beta jailbreak, you can also try this tweak as well.

Once installed the tweak starts to work immediately as there are no options to configure. In case you don't want to use tweak's effects, just uninstall it via Cydia.

If you want to tint 3D Touch menu backgrounds to match the app color but your jailbroken device doesn't support this feature then in such case you can use RevealMenu tweak. It simulates a 3D Touch feature on the Home screen. So you can easily colorize the background of shortcut menu blurs to match the app icon color even on the older devices.

Cream 2 Tweak Enables Colorized Toggles On Control Center In iOS 10

If you have already jailbroken your device with Jalu tool then you can now enable colorized toggles on Control Center in iOS 10. The Yalu jailbreak launch for iOS 10 has brought back the motivation among Cydia developers to continue working on new apps and tweaks for the updated firmware.Developers have a lot of hard work to do to update their tweaks to make it compatible with iOS 10.

Jailbreak tweak known as Cream has been updated with support for iOS 10 and released in Cydia as a separate package under the label Cream 2. This tweak allows user to customize iOS Control Center by colorizing its toggles. Recently released jailbreak for iOS 10 devices supports limited models. But there are users who were brave enough and have already liberated their devices.

So if your device is jailbroken here is how you can setup the Cream 2 tweak.

How To Bring Colorized Toggles To Control Center In iOS 10

Cream 2 tweak adds different shades of color to your Control Center toggles. By default, when you enable a specific toggle in Control Center, its background turns to white. With Cream 2, the background of the toggle changes to a color of your choice. On the other hand, toggles that are disabled will have the default light grey color.

With Cream installed you are free to choose any color that you want for each of the toggles. To grab this tweak add the following repo to Cydia: Once done go to the Search tab and search for ‘Cream 2’. It Is Possible To Jailbreak iOS 10.1.1 iPhone SE

Many users are interested is it possible to jailbreak iOS 10.1.1 iPhone SE, as there are many reports that jailbreak that was released last week by Luca Todesco works fine on the mentioned device. Launching its jailbreak tool for iOS 10 - 10.1.1 devices hacker admitted that this is beta version and it works on the limited iOS devices, including iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, the 12.9 and 9.7-inch iPad Pro models. But there were brave enough users who have tried this tool on their iPhone SE devices and it worked fine for them. Since this model it’s not listed as officially supported device, and the fact that the jailbreak is still in beta, it is recommended to jailbreak with caution if you want to hack iOS 10 on your iPhone SE.

Apple’s iPhone SE may look like a step back to some people because of the fact that it’s a 4-inch iPhone 5s-like phone with internals from newer iPhone 6s. Initially iPhone SE was introduced as a economical version for those who don't like larger devices but prefer certain portion of characteristics.

iPhone SE itself is essentially an iPhone 6s on the inside, packaged into a smaller case and marketed towards a different audience. So we can make the conclusion that since Yalu jailbreak offers compatibility with iPhone 6s why can it work on iPhone SE model as well.

It may not be interested to those users with an iPhone 6s or iPhone 7, or even an iPad Pro, but it will certainly be as a positive surprise to iPhone SE owners on iOS 10/10.1.1 who have been feeling a little left out with the jailbreak not offering support for the said model in first instance. Now you can jailbreak your iOS 10.1.1 iPhone SE but still remember that the iOS 10 jailbreak is in beta at this point and does not offer official support for this model.

Stay Away From Released iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak

Great news iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak is released. Well-known hacker and security researcher Luca Todesco better known by his handle qwertyoruiop, has recently launched the iOS 10.1 and iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak beta. However, before you get excited please note that it is currently meant only for jailbreak developers. Todesco has categorically stated that it is glitchy and very unstable so it is not meant for the regular users at the moment. You may end up losing iOS 10.1 or iOS 10.1.1 relleases, and be forced to upgrade to iOS 10.2 version.
All the previous Todesco's introductions of jailbreak tool for different iOS versions weren't present to public, but just few days back, Todesco had announced plans to release the iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak based on the kernel and root exploit for iOS 10.1.1.

Todesco has also mentioned that mobile substrate has been purposely broken so most of the jailbreak tweaks won’t be working properly or won't work at all. Unlike other jailbreak tools, the beta version isn’t a GUI-based tool, it is available as a Xcode project.

The iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak beta tool currently supports 9.7-inch iPad Pro, 12.9-inch iPad Pro iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Todesco mentioned that he would add support for other 64-bit iOS 10.1.1 compatible devices soon.

Todesco has also indicated that the jailbreak is not an untethered, which means that you will need to re-jailbreak your iOS device if you reboot it.

This is the first jailbreak to be released for iOS 10 and also iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. As it is beta version and there is no iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak release date it is strongly recommended for regular users to stay away from this version of Todesco's jailbreak.

The fact that iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak released even in beta indicates that it is possible to crack iOS 10 platform despite Apple's attempts to enhanced iOS security.

How To Enable 3D Touch-Based Speed Dial On iOS 9 iPhone

If you have jailbroken device you have a great ability to enable 3D Touch-based speed dial on iOS 9 iPhone with new Cydia release dubbed as QuickDial Pro. The idea behind this jailbreak tweak is to give you easier access to your top contacts. With it, you’ll simply launch the Phone app and use a gesture on one of your Phone app’s dialer keys, very similarly to the old-school cell phones that used quick dial back in the day.

How To Add 3D Touch-Based Speed Dial To iOS 9 iPhone

QuickDial Pro tweak utilizes 3D Touch, so you can activate the tweak by performing a 3D Touch gesture on one of the Phone app’s number pad keys. When you do, it will bring up a peek and pop menu that displays the contact’s photo, as well as buttons for:

  • Calling the contact
  • Messaging the contact
  • FaceTiming the contact
Tapping on any of the buttons from this menu invokes their designated purpose. For example, tapping on the Call button will initiate a phone call with the person you’ve assigned to that specific number pad key, and so on.

How to install and configure QuickDial Pro tweak
To enable 3D Touch-based speed dial on iOS 9 iPhone first download QuickDial Pro on your jailbroken iOS 9 device from Cydia’s BigBoss repository for just $0.99. Once installed the tweak will add a preferences pane to the Settings app where you can configure your speed dial contacts.

You can add a maximum of ten contacts to your QuickDial Pro roster, so you might want to limit your choices to close family members and friends that you contact the most often, otherwise anyone with a bevy of contacts will run out of room pretty quickly.

Don't forget to add the area code along with the phone number of the person you’re adding. This helps prevent any unwanted misdials from occurring.

Once you’ve configured your contacts, you can start speed dialing them immediately. There’s no need to respring or reboot following your configurations, which means you can edit your speed dial contacts on the fly, a very convenient touch.

Those users who own iPhone without 3D touch feature can install free Cydia tweak called revealMenu will let you simulate this gesture on your Phone app’s number keys with a tap and hold. So you can still enjoy QuickDial Pro tweak on older devices.

How To Doodle Anywhere On Jailbroken iPhone's Screen

To start using the Scriblit tweak head to Cydia’s BigBoss repository and download it for $1.50 right on your jailbroken iOS 9 device. Once the tweak is installed go straight to Settings > Scriblit preference pane. There, you will be able to turn on/off the tweak on a demand and choose an Activator action you want to use to invoke Scriblit. We'd better recommend you to use a gesture that works system-wide, as the tweak will be more useful in this case.

Via the menu button in the corner you can modify the drawing color, line transparency and line thickness. You can also toggle between the pen and eraser by tapping the pen icon beside the menu button.

Once you're done with customizations hit the Respring button to save all your changes. Keep in mind that it also works for any other time you need to respring your device, and not just when you make changes to the Scriblit tweak.

Tapping the camera button will instantly take a screenshot and save it to your camera roll. You will see a notification message saying a screenshot was successfully taken and saved whenever you do take one.

Doodling anywhere on iOS 9 iPhone screen you can have real fun and you can always share your drawing with friends. Scriblit tweak can be really helpful in situations when you want to show your friend how to do something or to point him to a specific button or app.

The testing begins on the iPhone 5, the oldest device. At first, it was believed that due to its age and the fact that it has an Apple A6 chipset and only 1GB of RAM, it would perform poorly. Surprisingly, it actually booted up a few seconds faster with 10.2, compared to the time it took with iOS 10.1.1.

iOS 10.2 vs 10.1.1 speed test comparison on iPhone 5

The latest iOS version does take slightly longer to boot on the iPhone 5s for some reason. In applications and benchmarks, iOS 10.2 manages to edge out iOS 10.1.1 in most of the scenarios.

iOS 10.2 vs 10.1.1 on iPhone 5s

The 6, and 6s didn’t see much of a time gain at boot-up compared to the 5. Instead, the difference was discovered with app load times. The improvements were only fractions of a second, but they were improvements nonetheless.

The Way To Prevent From Adding Duplicate Songs To iOS 9 Apple Music Playlists

New Cydia release called Dejavu prevents from adding duplicate songs to Apple Music playlists in iOS 9. Sometimes you can accidently add the same song to a playlist more than once, which means you’ll have duplicate songs in the same playlist. Apple doesn't offer the way to keep you from listening to duplicates. But with Dejavu tweak you can easily fix this problem. Let's find out how this new tweak works.

How To Prevent From Adding Duplicate Songs To Apple Music Playlists

When adding songs to a playlist Dejavu will grey out songs that have already been added. It will also display a warning if you try to add one of those songs. It also applies to the ‘Now Playing’ and ‘All Songs’ views where pressing the 3 dots next to a song lets you add it to a playlist.

So to prevent from adding duplicate songs to Apple Music playlists in iOS 9 you should download Dejavu tweak on your jailbroken device. So head to Cydia’s BigBoss repository and grab the tweak for $1.00. Note that this tweak is intended to work on iOS 9 devices only.

Once the Dejavu is installed it will add a preferences pane to the Settings app. Hre you can where you can turn on/off the tweak on demand, as well as configure whether or not duplicate songs are grayed out and whether or not the tweak will prevent you from adding duplicate songs to your playlist(s). When you're done with configurations tap on the respring button at the top right of the preferences pane for all your changes take place.

Now the next time you will attempt to add a song that’s grayed out, the tweak will show a “Song Already Added” waining to let you know that the song already exists in the playlist you’re trying to add it to.

Dejavu is really great tweak as it prevents you from adding the same song to playlist in iOS 9 and in this way fixes annoying problem with duplicates. No longer will you have to guess if a song is already on a playlist, and end up with multiple duplicates. So if you hate listening to the same song from your playlist twice then you should definitely install this tweak.

iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Release Date Stays Unknown

While there’s still no public iOS 10.2 jailbreak release date, there have been some very convincing demos of personal jailbreaks for it, most of which have come out of the woodwork from none other than well-known iOS hacker Luca Todesco. He warns all the jailbreakers with iOS 10 device to stuck on iOS 10.1.1 and stay away from updating to iOS 10.2 when it comes out if they want to jailbreak their devices.

Is iOS 10.2 jailbroken ?

Although Apple has fixed many exploits with the releae of the latest iOS version Luca Todesco is one of those hackers who managed to jailbreak iOS 10 iPhone. Just few weeks back he posted a proof of his own iPhone 7 jailbroken on iOS 10.1.1. As with all his jailbreak introductions that tool wasn't released to public.

Todesco has been sharing a slew of tweets that seem to suggest iOS 10.2 has plugged up a ton of exploitable bugs in the mobile operating system. iOS 10.2 is currently in its sixth beta as of this writing, which means the public release is imminent in the very near future. Apple could be preparing for a public release before 2017.

Todesco ensures that recent iOS betas are more secure than current public releases because they include relentless security updates that aren’t leaving much left for hackers to break into.

The question if it be possible to jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2 iPhone stays open. At this point of time none of prominent jailbrek team such as Pangu or TaiG haven't drop any public announcements. This means that as iOS 10.2 patches a ton more exploitable bugs means iOS is simply getting harder and harder to crack.

As iOS 10.2 jailbreak release date stays unknown you should confirm Todesco’s advice and stay on iOS 10.1.1, in case you ever want to liberate your iDevice again.

How To Display Album Artwork Illustrations In Spotify’s Playlist View In iOS 9

With the a new free Cydia release dubbed as Spotty you can force Spotify app to display album artwork illustrations in Spotify’s playlist view in iOS 9. Usually this app doesn’t show album artwork illustrations beside your songs in playlist view. Spotty tweak fixes it and additionally helps to make it a lot more uncomplicated popularity of tune at a look.

How To Display Album Artwork Illustrations In Spotify’s Playlist View

For many users the Spotify playlist view looks like text list and it can be a real challenge to find the music you’re looking for. Once the Spotty is installed on your jailbroken device the album artwork should appear beside the songs in playlist view, you’ll notice how much quicker you’ll recognize the songs you want to listen to from the list.

This makes music changing a lot easier while walking around or multitasking as there in need to take away from your concentration taken what you’re already doing.

So in order to get the ability to display album artwork illustrations in Spotify’s playlist view in iOS 9 you should go to Cydia’s BigBoss repository and download Spotty tweak absolutely for free. Spotty supports all jailbroken iOS 9 devices and works with the latest version (6.8.0) of the free Spotify app that can be downloaded from the App Store. Additionally, the tweak doesn't have a configuration pane, in order that adjustments are spotted right away after set up.

As for me with the album artwork being shown the Spotify app looks a whole lot better. But it all comes down to taste and preference. What is more the tweak's caching functionality that is built right into it the album artwork for your songs continue to display even when you go offline. This really great as you don’t actually need to have a direct internet connection to enjoy your visuals of course if they’ve been already downloaded and stored.
