How To Disable Home Screen Rotation On iOS 9 iPhone 6s Plus

If you want to disable Home screen rotation on iPhone 6s Plus and don't know how to do it, then there is a little jailbreak trick that do this work very quickly. Of course, many iPhone 6s Plus’ owners a fond of its ability to display the Home screen in landscape mode. But there are another team of users who actually rarely use this feature or don't need it at all. As you know in a stock iPhone 6s Plus settings, there’s no option to prevent the device Home screen from rotating without turning off rotation altogether. But as it was said above users who already jailbroken their device can use a new jailbreak tweak that will allow them to separate rotation locking to just the Home screen. The tweak is called Nuus and it  works with both the iOS 9 iPhone 6 Plus and the newer iPhone 6s Plus. So read how to do it.

Before proceed note that if you have accidently updated your device either to iOS 9.1 or 9.2 you cannot grab the tweak as at present these two platform are not jailbreakable.

How To Disable Home screen Rotation On iPhone 6s Plus

Step 1. First using Pangu tool for iOS 9-9.02 devices jailbreak your device.

Step 2. Next, go to the BigBoss repo and download Nuus free of charge and install on your device.

Step 4. You can try it out right away and you will notice that rotation lock will be turned off, and the Home screen will remain in portrait mode even when rotating the phone on its side.

Nuus tweak doesn't offer any options or settings, which is unfortunate. To our mind it would be great if there was a rotation lock toggle that just applied to the Home screen that could be adjusted from the preferences. It will also be excellent if there would be a handy Flipswitch toggle as well.

Disabling Home screen rotation on iPhone 6s Plus Nuus is the useful tweak to have on your jailbroken device.

Download Seng App Switcher Tweak For iOS 9 iPhone

Trying to find the best App Switcher tweak for iOS 9 iPhone then you should check Seng. This Auxo-inspired App Switcher tweak for jailbroken iOS devices is now available for download on Cydia. The tweak has been in beta for the last few weeks, and now it is available to all iOS 9 users who own jailbroken devices. Those users who have already purchased the iOS 8 compatible version of Seng can grab this latest iOS 9 compatible version as a free update.

A lot of users were vocal about the recent changes that took place with the iOS 9 compatible version of Auxo 3. Some liked them, but still more didn’t like them. Mainly, Auxo fans were disappointed with the direction of the new Multi Center. With the iOS 9 version of the tweak, Auxo maintained the visual style of iOS 9 and incorporated the Multi Center features into its own dedicated App Switcher card. Although this technically works, it arguably makes it slower to use features contained within Control Center.

Some users who already installed recent update of Seng report that this Auxo-inspired tweak really applies a better experience on the latest jailbreakable iOS software version. They also add that Seng’s Quick Switcher works a little bit better than Auxo 3’s Quick Switcher, however it’s still not so perfect. The Quick Switcher would probably perform a lot better on iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus devices, due to the presence of additional RAM.

There are different Cydia App Switcher tweaks that support iOS 9 firmware and offer various aspects of this functionality. But if you are interested in recent update of Seng then you can grab and setup this App Switcher tweak for iOS 9 iPhone right now from Cydia’s ModMyi repo for only $2.50. It is important to repeat that those users who have already own Seng, this 1.2 release can be had as a free update.

iOS 9.2 Jailbreak Release Date Stays Unknown

iOS 9.2 jailbreak release date is one of the recent common theme that worried all jailbreaks or those who plan to liberate their iDevices. But it seems that there is some great news for all of us. According to report from trusted source an iOS 9.2 jailbreak is in the developing process and it could be launched sooner than we can expect.

According to 3K Assistant, a long-time TaiG jailbreak partner. 3K Assistant is the same name of the utility that it is always recommended to uncheck on TaiG jailbreaks, as it usually has links to pirated content and just seems shady overall.

The report indicated that 3K Assistant has announced about the jailbreak tool release for iOS 9.2 iPhone is coming soon. But unfortunately there were no confirmation about this statement from TaiG, the Chinese team that launched jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3-8.4 running devices.

Currently the latest available jailbreak is Pangu tool for iOS 9-9.0.2 devices. The team surprisingly released it right after the Apple has introduced its new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices with the ninth version of its iOS.

But with iOS 9.1 firmware update release Apple has patched all exploits that were used by Pangu to develop its tool. There were rumors that Pangu team had a working jailbreak for iOS 9.2 firmware and it will be available for download just after Apple will launch its latest firmware to public. But as we can see nothing had happened. So we cannot say for sure that Pangu team will really do it.

In conclusion we can tell that iOS 9.2 jailbreak release date is currently unknown. But as for the above described report TaiG team can release its version of jailbreak tool for the devices running Apple's latest public firmware version. So be it TaiG or Pangu team but it seems that jailbreak solution for iOS 9 will come very soon.

iOS 9.2 VS iOS 9.2.1 Beta Performance Comparison On Older iPhones

It is always interesting to compare Apple firmwares on new and on older iPhone models, that's why here is iOS 9.2 vs iOS 9.2.1 beta performance comparison. Apple has pushed iOS 9.2.1beta software to developers and to beta testers few days back. Even though this is a beta release, there are many interested users who want to know what the latest update brings to the table. With features not changing, or at least not enough for every user to notice, our attention turns to performance details. The recently launched update comes with some tiny but welcome performance improvements for older iPhone models. You can see those improvements in action on iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, and iPhone 4s in the videos below.

Apple is the company that provides high level support for older devices with software updates. Although the latest releases often run bad on aging hardware, that's why many users decide not to upgrade. But over time, Apple often works to improve the experience with performance enhancements.

And iOS 9.2.1beta 1 update is the example. The iAppleBytes has posted a series of video comparisons. And in the speed test video below you can see that the iPhone 4s clearly boots up ever so slightly quicker with the more recent software update, and appears to be slightly slower at loading built-in apps like Messages and Camera.

On the next video iOS 9.2 vs iOS 9.2.1 beta performance is demonstrated on on iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s models. You will notice that iOS 9.2.1 also boots up faster than iOS 9.2.

As you could see from iOS 9.2 vs iOS 9.2.1 beta performance comparisons there are not huge speed improvements, and certain apps appear to be slightly slower on such smartphone model as iPhone 4s running the latest software update. But users will certainly welcome Apple’s effort to improve things like boot up times on older iPhone models.

For its part, iOS 9.2 firmware was a relatively minor update, bringing with it plenty of fixes and improvements behind-the-scenes, but also improving the experience for Apple Music, Mail, iBooks, and other Apple software as well.

iOS 9.2.1 is available right now for developers through the Apple Developer Center. Currently public beta testers cannot download this seed. But it is only a question of time before Cupertino-based company makes it available to those folks registered in Public Beta program.

To talk about what is new in this iOS 9.2.1 beta 1 update release, unfortunately Apple hasn’t launched any official changelog yet so we don’t know for sure what new changes are included here. Considering it is a minor update in title, being only a .1 release, it’s likely that it will be focused on software improvements, tweaks, and other enhancements to make the overall experience better.

Download Auxo 3 iOS 9 Update Release On iPhone

Jailbreakers we have exciting news about Auxo 3 iOS 9 update release. This very popular multitasking jailbreak tweak has been rewritten for Apple's ninth version of mobile operating system and launched on Cydia by A3Tweaks.

In case you’ve not heard about this tweak, Auxo is a Cydia tweak that replaces the default multitasking app switcher with a new UI, useful gestures and other handy options. The tweak has a dynamic Multi-Center, that merges both the Control Center and the app switcher. What is more you can be launch it with a swipe from the bottom. The Control Center Panel intelligently resizes based on whether a song is playing or not. When you click on the Now Playing panel, it will bring up the album art.

Developer Qusic worked long and hard in order to make the tweak gain the iOS 9 firmware support. The Auxo 3 tweak has been refined to make it work even faster than before. The under-the-hood changes will bring noticeable improvements and enhancements to the smoothness of the animations, overall performance and the effect on the battery life.

Of all of the Auxo 3 features, the Quick Switcher is my favorite, as it lets you quickly switch to recently used apps using one fluid swiping motion.

Auxo Legacy Edition has got the update on December carrying no significant changes or new features just iOS 9 support.

The good news is that upgrade pricing applies, so if you bought previous versions of Auxo, you get a discount. The recently released update is now available as a separate download package on Cydia only for jailbroken iOS 9 devices. Previous Auxo 3 users can get Auxo 3 iOS 9 update release for only $0.99. Also if you bought Auxo 2 in the past, then to download Auxo 3 for iOS 9 you will need to pay only $1.99 instead of $2.99.

How To Switch Between SMS And iMessage On iOS 9 iPhone

If you often need to switch between SMS and iMessage on iOS 9 iPhone then you should go on reading our post. It was long ago, when there was biteSMS popular jailbreak tweak that brought bulk of improvements to the stock Messages app. And as you may guess one of its key features was the ability to quickly switch between SMS and iMessage via the Send button.

But unfortunately biteSMS hasn’t been updated since iOS 7 and some of its features have been adopted by other Cydia jailbreak tweaks. But for those users who have already jailbroken their iOS 9 devices with Pangu tool we have good news. SwitchService is recently released jailbreak tweak that brings back the biteSMS's ability to switch quickly between iMessage and SMS. So follow steps below to set up this SwitchService tweak on your jailbroken device.

How To Switch Between SMS And iMessage In iOS 9

Step 1. If you’d like to download SwitchService then it is possible to grab it from the following repo: http://repo.ioscreatix.com. Once done, install the tweak on your device.

Step 2. SwitchService comes with a dedicated preferences pane available in Settings. There you can turn it on and off using the kill switch toggle.

Step 3. You can also adjust the touch hold time. A longer duration means that you have to perform the tap and hold gesture for a longer time before the message type changes.

Step 4. Now simply launch the stock Messages app, open a message thread, and long-press on the Send button to toggle between SMS and iMessage messages.

Step 5. As you long-press on the Send button, you’ll see the color of the button change to display the protocol that will be used to send the message. For instance, the button will be colored green if it is an SMS message and blue for iMessage (a green Send button = an SMS message, blue Send button = an iMessage).

The tweak works perfectly as described without any issues and is really useful to quickly switch between SMS and iMessage on iOS 9 iPhone. So if you face with annoying problem when you want to send an SMS but it gets sent as an iMessage then you should give this tweak a try.

But folks who have already jailbroken their devices with Pangu tool for iOS 9 - 9.0.2 devices are lucky, as there is Cydia tweak that enables third party keyboard in Google Chrome.ChromeKeyboardEnabler is a newly launched jailbreak tweak by developer snakeninny, and it enables third party keyboards within Google Chrome on iOS devices.

Step 3. On the screenshot below you can see a before and after photo. On the left is what Google Chrome’s keyboard looks like prior to the tweak’s installation, and on the right is what Chrome looks like with Swype installed and enabled.

If you don't know then the reason why third-party keyboards don’t normally work in Chrome on iOS 9 device, is because Chrome’s keyboard implementation lacks the necessary language key to activate alternate keyboards. It is shown on the picture below.

If you frequently use Chrome on your device and want to enable third party keyboard in Google Chrome on iOS 9 iPhone, then look no further than ChromeKeyboardEnabler. Considering the fact that it’s a free jailbreak tweak then you can go ahead and take it for a spin. As you see jailbreaking is the great thing to liberate your device from manufacture limitations and brings new way of using your iPhone.

iOS 9.2 Jailbreak Status Update Review

Here is all information about the current iOS 9.2 jailbreak status update. As you know, just two days ago Cupertino-based company has launched the second major update for ninth mobile software version, which includes several bug fixes and improvements.

The first major update to iOS 9 firmware was released almost three month ago and Apple had pushed the iOS 9.2 first beta version to developers on October 27. We can say for sure that iOS 9.2 is widely awaited release as all jailbreakers have been hoping that if Pangu or TaiG team have already developed working jailbreak, then they would wait for Apple to release iOS 9.2 firmware to public.

The Pangu Jailbreak for iOS 9 – iOS 9.0.2 devices was killed by Apple with iOS 9.1 release. The company patched two vulnerabilities that Pangu used to develop its jailbreak solution. But according to some rumors Pangu team had a working jailbreak for iOS 9.2 beta 4, and they were waiting for Apple to launch iOS 9.2 to the public. Although Pangu team hasn’t made any statement, so it is difficult to confirm if the above rumor is true. There was no evidences to suggest that they have managed to successfully jailbreak iOS 9.2.

So all we can do at this point of time is wait for the Pangu or other team to push the iOS 9.2 jailbreak, which should be released soon if it is ready. It is important to note that if Apple hasn’t fixed any other exploit that would break the jailbreak in iOS 9.2 public launch then the release date will come very soon.

Considering the above mentioned facts about iOS 9.2 jailbreak status update, the folks who have already jailbroken their devices with Pangu tool should not go through the process of upgrading to iOS 9.1 or iOS 9.2 if they wish to keep all the Cydia tweaks. As there are no jailbreak solution for the first and second Apple's updates that really makes both iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2 a danger zone for anyone who is currently enjoying all of the advantages that being jailbroken offers.

How To Use Split View On iOS 9 iPhone

There are many advantages of using Split View, a multitasking feature that’s was released exclusive to the latest iPad models, on iOS 9 iPhone. Splitify is a recently released jailbreak tweak that lets you use iOS 9’s Split View on any jailbroken iOS 9 device. This is really great, because if you’re jailbroken with Pangu tool, you can use Split View feature on your iPad Air, iPhone 6s, iPhone 5s, or other device. There are some other Cydia tweaks for iOS 9 device that bring multitasking feature to your jailbroken device.

How To Use Split View Feature On iOS 9 iPhone

Step 1. In order to use Split View on iOS 9 iPhone go to BigBoss repo on Cydia and download Splitify tweak for free of charge.

Step 2. Once the tweak is installed, it begins working immediately. All you need to do is to slide your finger from the edge of the right side of the screen to launch the Split View window. Use the Split View window to pick an additional app, and you’ll be able to view both apps simultaneously.

Step 3. Splitify tweak works best on larger devices like iPads. So if you are going to use this Splitify on iPhone then we'd better recommend you to use landscape mode for this tweak to work decently enough. Don' use Split View feature on an ios 9 iPhone while in portrait mode, as it just results in a cluttered unusable mess.

Step 4. Splitify does feature a preference panel, which lets you enable rotation to differing degrees. It also allows you to activate Lock screen rotation if that’s something you desire.

We should also say that Splitify has some bugs and UI glitches. But if you’re sure to keep the tweak locked in landscape mode on iPhones, then you’ll be mostly satisfied with the experience. If you’re interested in bringing Split View to unsupported devices as iPhone, then Splitify is the nice tweak to grab.

3DNotifications Enables 3D Touch Peek And Pop Notification On iOS 9

If you like to take advantage from jailbreaking then you need to check 3D touch Peek and Pop notification tweak for iOS 9 devices. As you may know Peek and Pop functionality allows users to preview various types of content with 3D Touch and when tap harder you can fully access them.

Apple released it ninth version of its mobile operation system on September together with new iPhone models. There are some jailbreak tweaks that with 3D Touch functionality enable different new features for older iDevices. And here is another tweak called 3DNotifications that was recently debuted on Cydia.

This tweak brings Peek and Pop functionality to iOS 9 notifications in Notification Center. When you tap lightly on a notification you will see its preview, which contains additional content relevant to the notification. When you will tap harder on the notification it will open it in the corresponding app.

How To Enable 3D Touch Peek And Pop Notification On iOS 9

Step 1. First jailbreak your iOS 9 device using Pangu tool. Once done go ahead to Cydia’s BigBoss repo and download 3DNotifications for $1.50.

Step 2. You don't need any additional configuration to start working with 3DNotifications tweak. Once you’ve installed it, simply launch Notification Center and perform 3D Touch on the supported notifications to take a glance at their preview.

Unfortunately, the 3D touch Peek and Pop notification tweak for iOS 9 supports only iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The 3DNotifications tweak currently supports messages notifications to peek into the conversation history, also calendar events to view more details corresponding to an event. The tweak enables mail notifications to view the entire content of a mail. What is more, using the tweak you can peek at Apple Pay Card info and transaction history and view additional details about missed phone and FaceTime calls.

Using 3D Touch for notifications means that you no longer need to open an app to view its additional content. That's why the tweak is very useful and Apple should implement its functionality in later iterations of iOS.
