Rumors Suggest Jailbreak Tool Release For iOS 8.4.1 Devices

A series of iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak rumors have been surfing the web recently that a jailbreak tool for iOS 8.4.1 running devices is already in the works and could be released soon in the future. Although, we can’t vouch for the validity of these rumors, but nonetheless we are intrigued by such a prospect. As of now, iOS 8.4 is the last firmware which can be jailbroken by the TaiG tool.

Although the great new features found in iOS 9 would make it hard for me to personally backtrack to 8 version, I understand that some of you would jump at the chance if it meant being able to jailbreak.

Although there is no fixed iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak release date but Twitter user going by the name Luca Todesco claims that he has been working on a jailbreak tool for iOS 8.4.1 and could be releasing it soon in the near future. The good news is that iOS 8.4.1 firmware signing window is still opened. This means that if you’re running a later version of iOS then this is the best time for you to downgrade your device back to iOS 8.4.1 if you’re interested in jailbreaking it once a legit tool becomes available and the rumors turn out to be true. Remember that Apple could close the signing window anytime making it impossible to downgrade to iOS 8.4.1 anymore.

Apple closed its iOS 8.4 signing window back on August 22nd. This was 9 days after it launched iOS 8.4.1 to the public. Apple closed iOS 8.3 back on July 7th, which was a almost 7 days following the release of iOS 8.4 on June 30th.

In conclusion we can say that iOS 9 has been out for a week and there’s an increased chance that Apple will soon close the signing window for iOS 8.4.1.

Before making some actions it is recommended to check the signing status of iOS 8.4.1 by visiting IPSW.me/8.4.1. At present time Apple is still singing iOS 8.4.1 for every eligible iDevice, but as mentioned, that could very well change in short time. Hopefully status of iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak rumors will turn out to be true all we will enjoy jailbreak tool with the bulk of great tweaks very soon.

Best Auxo Alternative Tweak Is Now Available

If you are trying to find best Auxo alternative tweak then here is Seng, that is recently become available on Cydia for jailbroken iOS 8 iPhone.

This jailbreak tweak was in beta for almost two months and now Seng is available on Cydia for $2.50. You can ask is this tweak worth of this price. Let's investigate this together.

Created by developer Charlie Hewitt Seng is a jailbreak tweak for the App Switcher that divides the interface into two separate sections: Top View and Bottom View. The App Switcher interface itself is sandwiched between each view.

What is really handy is that you can customize both the top and bottom views with interface elements including toggles, music information, sliders for volume and brightness and others. What is more, users can use Seng’s preferences to drag the available elements between each view, or hide them outright.

Seng works in that way it merges the App Switcher interface with the Control Center interface for an all-encompassing control panel that does nearly everything. The App Switcher cards stay in the middle of the device's display, and you can put Control Center elements on bottom, on top, or have a mix of the two. Depending on how sandwiched-in it is the App Switcher will automatically resize itself.

Note that some of the items in the Bottom View Sections and Top View Sections have their own customization menu. For instabce, with music transport controls, you can pick to only display the controls when music is playing.

One if the advantages of best Auxo alternative tweak is that it doesn’t need time consuming resprings to configure it to your desire. All you need to do is to go into the tweak’s preferences, rearrange the UI elements into the desired view locations, and go.

Although Auxo currently doesn't support iOS 8.3 - 8.4 devices, Seng is a excellent alternative for jailbreakers. I was impressed with Seng tweak handy options and I'd like to say that for such price it the best Auxo alternative especially when you run iOS 8.3 - 8.4 jailbreak.

It is possible to download iOS 9.0.1 IPSW from direct links, as Apple has reportedly released software update with the 9.0.1 version number for iOS devices to fix bugs and issues. iOS 9.0.1 update comes only a week after the final iOS 9 firmware was launched to the public.

First and foremost, the release introduces a fix for a bug that a large amount of users had been experiencing with the iOS setup assistant after upgrading to iOS 9 firmware. The aforementioned bug causes a fair bit of frustration by getting users stuck in a position where they could never actually successfully complete the setup process, instead getting stuck on a “Slide to Upgrade” screen. Apple’s interim fix for this issue was to restore via iTunes from a backup.

The recent software update also fixes an issue where the alarm and timers failed to play for some users after upgrading their device to iOS 9 firmware. The other significant fix is in Safari and Photos where pausing video could cause the paused frame to appear distorted.

The final issue that’s been addressed as part of the official change log that accompanies the iOS 9.0.1 update pertains to a custom VPN setup. Specific users who were opting to use a custom VPN setup via a profile were experiencing issues with the loss of mobile data. The latest version of iOS addresses and fixes that issue for all of those who had been experiencing it. iOS 9 Jailbreak Million Dollars Paying For Development

Can you imagine the some company or person can pay million dollars for iOS 9 jailbreak. As it became known ZERODIUM, cybersecurity firm that was founded this past summer by Chaouki Bekrar, has announced The Million Dollar iOS 9 Bug Bounty program and stated that it will reward $1 million to anyone able to crack Apple’s recently launched iOS 9, that is considered to be the world’s most secure mobile OS.

ZERODIUM claims that it will be paying out one million U.S. dollars to each person or team that develop and submit to them an jailbreak for iOS 9 running device. The firm has its special requirements for the jailbreak. It must be exclusive, browser-based, and of course untethered.

Also the jailbreak must work on all Apple's iOS devices, including the recently released iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Air 2. Note that the last browser-based jailbreak for iOS devices was Jailbreak.me that was launched 4 years ago in 2011 by comex.

Of course developers and researchers might be able to find an exploit or bug that lets them to successfully develop jailbreak for iOS 9, as 1 million is a large sum of money. Even after Apple patched exploits in iOS 9 that had been used in iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak. But it will be real challenge for them to find a browser-based exploit.

To sum up, ZERODIUM is going to pay a total amount of three million U.S. dollars ($3,000,000.00) in rewards for iOS exploits and jailbreaks to experienced security researchers and jailbreak developers. The zero-day bounty program will be opened until 6:00 p.m. EDT on October 31 or until the company ends up paying the total promised sum of money to developers and researchers.

Payment of the Million Dollar iOS 9 Bug Bounty by ZERODIUM to a researcher makes a purchase of the exclusive rights to the submitted exploit(s), jailbreak(s), and all related vulnerability info.

iOS 9 jailbreak for million dollars is the great earn, but don’t expect that ZERODIUM will make the exploit public or launch a jailbreak tool for all iOS devices including the recently released iPhones.

iOS 9 WiFi Not Working Problem Fix Tips

Here are tips to fix iOS 9 WiFi not working problem for those who have faced with such type of issues. Carrying with it bulk of new features and enhancements iOS 9 release also brought some problems as any other major iOS software update.

One of the issues users encounter while updating their iPhone to iOS 9 is Wi-Fi connectivity issues. According to users reports they are not able to connect to a Wi-Fi network, getting incorrect password prompt, speeds being extremely slow or dropping connection intermittently, Wi-Fi settings grayed out.

Tips On How To Fix WiFi Not Working Problem On iPhone

Tip 1. Force Restart

Like with all tech problems, you can try to force restart your iPhone or iPad to see if it will help.

To do it hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, until the screen goes blank and you will see Apple logo.

Tip 2. Downgrade to iOS 8.4.1

If the Tip 6 also doesn’t work then you can downgrade iOS 9 back to iOS 8.4.1. 8.4.1 signing window is still opened, so you can downgrade.

Tip 3. Set Custom DNS

Often times, if your ISPs DNS servers are having problems, you can switch to Google DNS or OpenDNS.

Tip 4. Reset Network Settings

Most networking related issues users have faced with have been fixed after resetting network settings. To do it, launch the Settings app and go to Settings > General > Reset and click on Reset Network
Settings.

Resetting these settings flushes caches and clears DHCP settings and other networking related information.

Tips 5. Disable Wi-Fi Networking Services

Another tip you can try to fix iOS 9 WiFi issues on your affected iPhone is to disable Wi-Fi Networking under Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. This only relates to your location being used for Wi-Fi Networking, so it doesn’t turn off Wi-Fi entirely.

Tips 6. Restore and Setup as new iPhone

In case all of these WiFi not working problem fix tips failed the last way is to restore your iPhone via iTunes, and set it up as a new device. Using this method you can get rid of possibly problematic customizations and settings on your iDevice.

Tip 7. Forget Wi-Fi Network and Rejoin

If you’re not able to connect to a Wi-Fi Network even entering the correct password and the device says that the password you’ve entered is incorrect then try to forget the Wi-Fi network, and join the network once again.

To do it click on the Wi-Fi network from the list under Settings > Wi-Fi. Then click on Forget This Network. A popup message will ask you if you want to forget Wi-Fi Network. Click Forget option to forget the network.

After that go back to Settings > Wi-Fi, choose the network again, enter the password, and Join the network again to see if it helps.

iOS 9 Jailbreak Exploit Patched By Apple Latest Update

Here is another news for jailbreakers that one more iOS 9 jailbreak exploit was patched by Apple company with the release of its latest mobile OS update. Along with iOS 9 new features and improvement launch for iDevices, Cupertino based company has also published a new knowledge base document, providing the security content of the latest mobile OS software update.

The knowledge base document outlines that Cupertino based company has also patched one security exploit in the latest iOS update, and have credited “Pangu team and the TaiG Jailbreak Team” for discovering the security flaw.

As it is already known fact, Apple company had patched several vulnerabilities in iOS 8.4.1 used by the TaiG team in the iOS 8.4 jailbreak. At present time there is no clear confirmed evidences to state that this is the same exploit in iOS 8.4.1 which was confirmed by Pangu team just last week to have been patched in iOS 9 GM version.

But, the good news is that iOS 9 has already been jailbroken. While patching of yet another hole that could have been used for jailbreaking, few days back, iH8sn0w, popular developer of jailbreak tools such as Sn0wbreeze, P0sixspwn has posted a video that demonstrate jailbroken iOS 9 device.

Reportedly, he doesn’t plan to release this recently outlined jailbreak to public. So the only thing we have to do is to wait for Pangu or TaiG team to discover the vulnerabilities to jailbreak iOS 9. But the fact that it can be jailbroken indicates real prospect that a iOS 9 jailbreak could be launched a lot sooner than the jailbreak for iOS 8 was released.

iOS 8 jailbreak was launched more than a month after it was public release. Hopefully, this iOS 9 jailbreak exploit patched by Apple company will not be stand in the way of the next jailbreak tool development.

iOS 8 iPhone Grid Message Tweak Message App Grid View

iOS 8 iPhone Grib Message tweak is a jailbreak tweak that brings a new look to the Messages app and changes the way you interact with it. Normally, in Message app all the conversations are displayed as a table view. But using Grid Messages tweak you can switch to grid view so that your conversations will be displayed as grids rather than as a table. Such grid view shows approximately 12 conversations per page and you can open any particular conversation by simply clicking on the corresponding grid.

One of handy Grid tweak feature is that, by clicking on the corresponding button available in the top left corner of Messages, you can easily switch between the table view and grid view. Grid Message jailbreak tweak for iOS 8 also comes with an edit functionality letting you pick multiple conversations at once and erase them.

Once installed Grid Messages on jailbroken device, there is no additional configuration required. Simply go to the Messages app and click on the grid view button to view messages as grids. The grids also display a very brief preview of the recent message in a conversation.

As you may notice jailbreak is the great opportunity for your iPhone. It allows you to customize your phone's look and feel to suit your personality, rather than being stuck with the far more limited options in iOS 8. You can use alternatives to the default apps in iOS, many of which have more functionality.

iOS 8 iPhone Grid Message tweak is the great option to switch between the table and grid view. However, there is one major issue about this tweak it is very glitchy and doesn’t provide a smooth experience. It is expected that the developer will more efforts on the tweak and will make it bug-free and suitable for daily usage.

iOS 9 Jailbreak Status Update Detailed Info

In this post we are going to talk about iOS 9 jailbreak status update. Many Apple's users ask one common question will it be possible to jailbreak their devices after upgrading to iOS 9.

Just yesterday Apple has launched the final version of iOS 9 for iPhone, iPad or iPod touch users. It brought bulk of improvements and new features.

Cupertino based company may have dedicated time and resources to improve iOS, but there’s still inevitably going to be a strong contingent of users who can’t wait for iOS 9 jailbreak tool for iPhone and update their devices to the latest version of OS.

The last publicly available jailbreak was provided for iOS 8.4 by the TaiG team. And currently there is no tool available to jailbreak iPhone, iPad or iPod touch that run iOS 8.4.1 firmware. Apple company has patched few vulnerabilities in iOS 8.4.1 which were used by the TaiG jailbreak that can be used to jailbreak iOS 8.4 – iOS 8.4.1.

Although, another Chinese team Pangu seems to have successfully jailbroken iOS 8.4.1. They have also provided details of the kernel vulnerabilities in the iOS 8.4.1 discovered by them, and revealed that two of those vulnerabilities discovered by them and most likely used to jailbreak iOS 8.4.1 have already been patched with the iOS 9Golden Master build release.

There’s no real confirmation on whether or not the Pangu team will package together its findings relating to the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak and launch it to the public.

So, what about iOS 9 jailbreak status update and its prospect? The good news is that iOS 9 has already been jailbroken. Few days back, iH8sn0w, developer of popular jailbreak tools such as Sn0wbreeze, P0sixspwn published a video to demonstrate that iOS 9 can be jailbroken. The video not only outlined a jailbroken iOS 9 device, but showed very specific things such as verbose boot, custom boot logos running, and demonstrated code injection.

However there is still one question left whether iH8Sn0w. will make this jailbreak available for public or not.

But the fact that it can be jailbroken gives us some hope that a iOS 9 jailbreak tool for download could be launched a lot sooner than the iOS 8 jailbreak was released. Jailbreak for iOS 8 was pushed more than a month after its public release.

iPhone iOS 8 3D Touch Jailbreak Tweak For Older Models

If you don't plan to buy any of new Apple's smartphones then upcoming iPhone iOS 8 3D Touch jailbreak tweak will bring you opportunity to try out new feature on older Apple's devices.

For the first time ever, with this 3D Touch feature the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus can now detect how much pressure has been applied to the screen in three different levels, and will provide a new set of menus and actions based on that level of force. For example, while inside apps like Notes, Mail, and Messages, you can make the keyboard behave like a trackpad by pressing harder on it to easily manipulate text. Now, thanks to popular Greek developer Elias Limneos, jailbreak fans have a 3D Touch inspired tweak to look forward to in the near future.

As you know currently only new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are equipped with 3D Touch option. They are embedded with capacitive sensors built into the backlit of the Retina HD display that calculate the distance between the cover glass and the backlit which makes this feature possible. Limneos’ 3D Touch jailbreak tweak for iOS 8 devices, which is currently in development, aims to emulate this as best as possible on older hardware.

This upcoming jailbreak tweak has been teased in a new video by Elias Limneos. The package itself will be released onto Cydia under the Touch 3D name. This doesn’t mean that the tweak will enable your device to differentiate between hard and light presses but rather brings the same actions and shortcuts of 3D Touch to iOS 8, and more importantly older iPhones.

As you can see from the video, Limneos has 3D Touch-inspired shortcut gestures for the Settings app, Phone app, and Camera app. The tweak will likely feature Activator support for customizing the invoking method for the pop-up shortcut menus, but to align itself more closely to how the real 3D Touch works, users will be able to long-press on apps to bring up the shortcuts.

The developer hasn’t provided any information about the 3D touch jailbreak tweak for iOS 8 iPhone as to when it will be public launched and how it functions. Of course it’s really exciting to see how fast the jailbreak community is in porting new features to older Apple's iPhones.

iPhone 6s Factory Unlocked Pricing in the USA and Other Countries

Now is the high time to talk about iPhone 6s factory unlocked USA price and in other countries after Apple’s popular smartphones are now officially released.

There were a multiple posts about Apple's smartphones expected specs, new features and implementations before the big media event September 9. Now when the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are officially introduced, it is the time to move away from discussing its design and technical characteristics, and concentrate our attention on what really matters to those folks looking to potentially buy devices - the cost.

If you happened to have bought the last year’s iPhone 6 or 6 Plus outright then you may have noticed that Apple company has increased the price of this year’s iPhones in a select few markets. Of course nobody will blame Cupertino based company for this. It was coursed due to the United State Dollar’s fluctuation against currencies such as the Canadian and Australian dollar, also the Euro, Apple has been forced to increase prices in some of countries.

You can check the prices visiting: http://www.apple.com.

The good news is that iPhone 6s sim free USA prices as well as in the United Kingdom, and the majority of Asian countries aren’t affected.

Apple will release iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in first-wave of countries on September 25. These countries are:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • China
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong
  • Japan
  • New Zealand
  • Puerto Rico
  • Singapore
  • the United Kingdom
  • the United States

Apple plans to launch the new iPhones in over 130 countries, with over 400 network carriers as partners by the end of the year.

As you may know factory unlocked/Sim free iPhone means you can use your smartphone with any carrier Sim card you want around the world. So if you plan to buy the iPhone 6s factory unlocked model and currently live in above mentioned countries you can keep your money and wait till September 25.

iOS 9 Jailbreak Tool On Video

Great news, there is iOS 9 jailbreak tool on video posted by well known developer iH8sn0w, who has previously been responsible for the work behind tools such as Sn0wbreeze and P0sixspwn.

While several jailbreak teams have been working on it, it is the first time a jailbreak for iOS 9 has been demoed. The video illustrates the jailbreak working on final iOS 9 GM version which Apple has launched at its iPhone 6s media event 2015 two days ago. The jailbreak is an untethered, so you won’t lose the jailbreak when you reboot your device.

The video has been uploaded to the developer’s personal YouTube channel and comes in at just over three minutes long. As we have come to expect from the jailbreak community, it’s one thing to say you have the necessary vulnerabilities and tools to jailbreak a device, but another thing altogether when it comes to proving such a claim. The video acts as proof of the claim, showing off a fully untethered jailbreak featuring verbose booting, integration of custom boot logos, and code injection.

Few days back Pangu team had confirmed that Apple company had patched two kernel exploits used in their iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak. This recent announcement from the Pangu led a number the jailbreak community members to believe that liberating iOS 9 would be extremely troublesome. Although, it seems that iH8sn0w has managed to get to grips with the new security measures within iOS 9, or lack of them, and bypass them in almost record time.

You can watch iOS 9 jailbreak tool on video below:

Apple should ideally push iOS 9 with the same build number as iOS 9 Golden Master, so it will be possible to jailbreak the public release as well. It remains to be seen if iH8sn0w will launch a jailbreak tool for iOS 9 to public. But considering the fact that iOS 9 can be jailbroken, it is also possible that Pangu and TaiG team can discover the exploits, and release a jailbreak for iOS 9 devices.

It would still be prudent for jailbreakers to avoid upgrading to iOS 9 when it is released on September 16, and wait for the jailbreak tool to be launched.

iOS 9 Kernel Vulnerability Is Patched By Apple

Here is some not so great news for jailbreakers about iOS 9 kernel vulnerability. As you know few weeks back, at the HackPwn2015 security conference Pangu team had demonstrated an jailbroken iOS 8.4.1 iPhone 6. At that time it was beta release that should be followed by public launch.

It was thought that The Chinese team didn't release their iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak to public eye as it wanted to save kernel exploits for iOS 9 jailbreak.

However Pangu team has just published a post on their official blog titled ‘iOS 8.4.1 Kernel Vulnerabilities in AppleHDQGasGaugeControl’, in which they provide details about kernel vulnerabilities in iOS 8.4.1.

Windknown, one of Pangu Team member, wrote that when auditing iOS kernel executable, they have found that the code quality of com.apple.driver.AppleHDQGasGaugeControl was non-effective.

In the post he then goes on to provide more details about the three iOS 8.4.1 kernel vulnerabilities. Windknown also states that Apple has patched two out of the three vulnerabilities in iOS 9 beta 5. While he hasn’t explicitly mentioned it, it means that the jailbreak they had demonstrated for iOS 8.4.1, won’t work with iOS 9 because of hacked kernel exploits.

Pangu posted a enlightening report that’s fairly easy for understanding even if you’re not a experienced hacker or programmer. Windknown does a great job of explaining the particulars of each of the three vulnerabilities.

Apple is widely expected to release iOS 9 GM (Golden Master) to developers immediately after Apple media event 2015, followed by the release to the public next week.

Now that Pangu team has revealed the details about iOS 8.4.1- iOS 9 kernel vulnerabilities, it remains to be seen if they will push a jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 to folks.

As it is few days for the iOS 9 release, this type of research indicates that hackers are still very much engaged in the different security research needed to accomplish a future jailbreak down the line. And we are excited to see how things go once iOS 9 is launched to the public.

iOS 8.4.1 Jailbreak Status Update And Prospectives

Let's talk about iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak status, as since its release there are a lot of users asking is it possible to jailbreak their iOS 8.4.1device or not. For those who interested is there a jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 we have short answer - no.

Currently, it is not possible to jailbreak iOS 8.4.1 devices with the TaiG tool or PP exploit that worked with iOS 8.4 – iOS 8.1.3. Apple has patched several exploits used by the TaiG team for developing their jailbreaking.

As per iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak release date, then in it still unknown however good news is that the Pangu team has recently demonstrated an iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak. But we can say that it is highly unlikely that the team will push the jailbreak to the public at least until iOS 9 launch.

Actually it doesn’t make sense to release a jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 with iOS 9 just around the corner. But concerning the fact that Pangu Team hasn’t launched the jailbreak, it is quite possible that the exploits used for the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak haven’t been patched in iOS 9.

If you planned to jailbreak your device then you should wait as Apple has also stopped signing iOS 8.4 firmware file, so you can no longer downgrade from iOS 8.4.1 to iOS 8.4. It is known fact that Cupertino giant uses this mechanism to keep all jailbreakers at bay. It not only seeds new software updates, that fix the vulnerabilities used for jailbreak, it also stops signing the older iOS firmware file, which prevents users from downgrading back to the older iOS version that can be jailbroken.
Now you know the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak status and if you’re on iOS 8.4.1, all you can do is to be more patient.

If the exploits used in the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak can be used to jailbreak iOS 9, then that would be excellent as Pangu team will be able to launch a jailbreak after iOS 9 release, which should also work with iOS 8.4.1 devices. It is expected that Apple will launch iOS 9 on September 16. In that case, it will be possible to upgrade to iOS 9 directly, and jailbreak your device.

If Apple has patched some or all the exploits in iOS 9, then Pangu team will push a jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1. As you see in both case there is the way out.

Jailbreak Tweak Steals iCloud Email and Password

Do you know that jailbreak tweak steals your iCloud passwords and email addresses? If you plan to jailbreak your iOS device in near future or already has got jailbroken device, beware insidious tweaks that are created to get your iCloud login credentials.

Due to new report more than 220,000 iCloud accounts were compromised by malicious jailbreak tweak or plug-in that was masquerading as trustworthy installations to get the private information. Currently it is unknown who is behind this private credentials steal case, or what they will do with all that stolen iCloud accounts.

Of course, getting access to such credentials as email addresses and passwords this group of hackers would be able to steal contact information, easily read iMessages and what is more acquire photos and other media. On the picture below you can see how it looks when accounts have been stolen.
That's why those iOS devices jailbroken users may want to pay particularly close attention, as it seems that a number of extensions and tweaks use sophisticated attack measures to acquire very specific information from the jailbroken host device.

Taking into consideration the number of 220,000 users we can say that any jailbreak tweak would receive the amount of penetration required to affect a quarter of a million users, let alone a malicious tweak posted on some shady third-party repo.

The report also claims that the Chinese market traders very often sell iPhones that have been already pre-jailbroken, and many of these may have been equipped with the shady tweaks already installed.

Here are some tips that we should all be doing to protect ourselves and to keep our iCloud data safe against jailbreak tweak steal:

  1. Turn on 2 Factor Authentication on your iOS device
  2. Don’t add shady third party repos to Cydia
  3. In no case install tweaks outside of Cydia
  4. Don’t pirate tweaks or apps

By following the above mentioned tips, jailbreakers can mitigate much of the risk when installing jailbreak tweaks.
