How to Install iOS 9 Beta 1 on iPhone, iPod or iPad with No UDID

Apple has officially introduced its next iOS 9 and the first beta build is already available for download. A lot of users have a chance to install iOS 9 beta 1 on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch even if you do not have a registered developer account and UDID.

Everything is pretty simple these days thanks to devs who share the ipsw files for different betas seeded by Apple with other users. Learn how to update to iOS 9 beta on your iDevice if you don’t participate in Apple’s Dev program.

Some users have already reported they were able to successfully upgrade to iOS 9 beta 1 using direct download links for the ipsw without registered UDID of their iPhone or iPad. You might also be lucky and do this without any issues and problems.

How to Install iOS 9 Beta 1

Step 1. Backup your iPhone or iPad or iPod touch. Use iTunes or iCloud for this. This is very important and will save your information and personal data in case anything goes the wrong direction.

Step 2. Download iOS 9 beta 1 ipsw file through direct download links we shared earlier. Save it on your desktop [Mac or Windows PC].

Step 3. Launch iTunes.

Step 4. Connect your gadget to your computer using a USB cable.

Step 5. You should choose your device in iTunes menu.

Step 6. Go to Summary.

Step 7. Press Shift if you are on Windows / Option if you are on Mac and at the same time click on Update option.

Step 8. Point to iOS 9 ipsw file you have downloaded and select Open option.

Step 9. iTunes will tell you it will update your smartphone or tablet to iOS 9. Agree.

Step 10. Wait till iOS 9 beta 1 is installed on your iDevice. There will be a couple of reboots. Don’t worry.

Step 11. You are done when you see the new welcome screen.

Step 12. Set up your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and enjoy testing the first iOS 9 beta.
