iOS 8.3 TaiG jailbreak error 1101 is a part of jailbreaking iOS 8.1.3, 8.2 and 8.3 versions. Yes, hackers from China found new exploits and released the updated TaiG 2.0 that is capable of performing untether jailbreak on the latest Apple firmware versions.
A number of users who were trying to use the new tool report the iOS 8.3 jailbreak stuck at 20% problem. Is there a way how to fix TaiG jailbreak error 1101 and successfully complete the task?
How does it happen?
Users who download TaiG 2.0 jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3 – 8.3 operating system [it is also possible to jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 with TaiG] and try to run it on their Windows computer [right now TaiG supports only Windows platform though it should be coming to Mac soon] cannot proceed with the jailbreak when it reaches 20%. The whole thing gets stuck and doesn’t want to complete.
How to Fix TaiG Jailbreak Error 1101
If you get the message about Apple Driver not being found and see that your jailbreak process is stuck at 20% you can try to install an earlier version of iTunes. If you are already running iTunes 12.1.2 you might like to download the version 12.1.0 and install it. How can you do this?
Step 1. Backup your full library before you uninstall the version 12.1.2 from your Windows computer.
Step 2. Download iTunes 12.1.0 [here is the 32-bit version and here is the 64-bit program].
Step 3. Launch the iTunes file and install it on your computer.
Step 4. Now you can try to run the jailbreak once again and hopefully it will successfully complete.
P.S. In case the walkaround doesn’t help you and iTunes 12.1.0 doesn’t solve the issue you might like to repeat the guide with a different version of iTunes 12.0.1.
TaiG team is expected to fix TaiG program to support the new Cydia Substrate for iOS 8.3. This should happen this week.
