This new beta will let developers continue testing apps that run directly on the Apple Watch hardware with getting access to local sensors, the Digital Crown, and the device’s own processor.
For consumers, new WatchOS 2 software features include a new Nightstand Mode that will allow to see the time and alerts in a larger font and a new Time Travel mode that will let see past and future calendar events. The software adds a number of other features to Apple’s wearable device, including three new watch faces, access to third-party watch face complications, weather data on clock faces, an more improved Music app and of course native apps that run directly on the watch hardware, access its sensors, take advantage of the Taptic Engine and more.
According to reports, there are some developers that have complained about battery drain and sluggishness with beta 1so we will see what changes we will get with beta 2.
