Cydia Tweaks Compatible with iOS 8.3 iPhone and iPad

The release of TaiG 2.0 jailbreak that can untether three platforms, iOS 8.1.3, 8.2 and 8.3, users start to wonder what iOS 8.3 compatible tweaks exist. It is smart to update to the most recent firmware version if it can be jailbroken with ease.

Thanks to TaiG update iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users can also download the first jailbreak tweaks iOS 8.3 that support this system. The list is short for now because there were problems with Cydia Installer [these issues are now gone and you can find the latest version 1.1.18 to update to it] and kernel update with 8.3 Cydia Substrate [this problem hasn’t been fixed yet and the TaiG group of hackers is currently working on it].

You still have to wait for all the bugs and problems to be solved before you can enjoy all the new and updated iOS 8.3 jailbreak tweaks for your iDevice. If you haven’t jailbroken your iPhone yet you can use the step-by-step iOS 8.3, 8.2, 8.1.3 TaiG jailbreak guide and perform everything within seconds. It currently works on Windows computers but should soon get Mac OS X upgrade.

So what Cydia tweaks are compatible with iOS 8.3 right now? There is a number of tools you can try to use. They all are already compatible with iOS 8.3: iFile, Kodi, Bridge, iModGame, WiFiPasswords, BytaFont 2, Disk Pie. The list also includes CocoaTop, Fortune, OpenSSH, Blocker, MyWi 8. If you are using CrashReporter, Hosts Blocker, MobileTerminal or FBMostRecent you should know that they also work on iOS 8.3 just like Filza, NewTerm, Light Untrusted, Untrusted Hosts and Minimal Hosts.

If you have a jailbroken iOS 8.3 smartphone or tablet you should install only tweaks that are compatible with this firmware version. Otherwise you might experience reboot loops and other issues that would force you to restore and lose the jailbreak. You’ll be able to re-jailbreak right now, but once Apple stops signing iOS 8.3 this could be a big problem.
