How to Prevent iPhone Screen from Waking Up when Notifications Arrive [Jailbreak Tweak]

Usually when your iPhone receives a notification its screen wakes up. Is there a way how to prevent iPhone screen from waking up? There is one interesting Cydia tweak you can use. It works on jailbroken gadgets only, so first make sure you are running iOS version that can be jailbroken. Secondly, jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 or earlier version.

Step 1. Launch Cydia store and search for IllLookLater tweak. You can find it on the BigBoss repository. It is completely free to use.

Step 2. Download and install the tweak.

Step 3. Launch the new preference pane that was installed along with IllLookLater tool.

Step 4. You will find a list of apps you have on your gadget. It will take a while to configure everything because each program has a toggle next to it. You should select which apps can wake up your screen and which can’t. Do this for both User apps and System apps menus.

Step 5. Every application you will toggle on in the settings will not wake up your screen when it gets a notification.

Step 6. You will hear the alert sound when you get a notification.

Step 7. You can view your notifications from the Lock screen. But your screen won’t turn on.
