How to Add Custom System Sounds on iPhone [Jailbreak Tweak]

Are you getting bored with your iPhone? Users who are running iOS 8.1.2 and earlier 8 firmware version and are jailbroken can easily customize their smartphone using various Cydia tweaks. There is a jailbreak tweak for nearly everything, including the possibility to create iPhone custom system sounds on your handset.

The tweak allows adding custom sounds for locking your screen, booting up etc. You can create an exclusive device with fun sounds if you follow the instruction below.

How to Add Custom System Sounds on iPhone

Step 1. Before you can do anything with unique sounds you have to launch Cydia store.

Step 2. Find Echo by fidele007 and install this tweak.

Step 3. You should respring the iPhone in order to make the tweak work.

Step 4. Go to Settings.

Step 5. You should find your jailbreak tweaks in Settings and select Echo to enter its menu.

Step 6. You will see a long list of different system actions which can play your custom sounds.

Step 7. Select the action you want to sound exclusive and choose the sound you want to play. Whenever you choose the sound it will be played so that you can hear what you are selecting. If the sound doesn’t play you should switch on the volume.

Step 8. When you wish to remove the sound you should simply choose None from the list of sounds.

Step 9. It might take a while to customize the jailbroken iPhone this way because you have to manually set up sounds for different actions until you like what you get.

Step 10. The main lack of this tweak is you can’t add your personal custom system sounds on iPhone. You can only choose from what developer offers.
