Here is all information we know about jailbreak iOS 8.3 update .With long list of improvements and bug fixes, iOS 8.3 software update release also brought some security patches. However famous hacker MuscleNerd pointed out that the new firmware gains 39 security patches, rivaling the amount found in the iOS 7 to iOS 8.

Apple company has also published a new knowledge base document, that provides us with the iOS 8.3 security content.

The knowledge base documents tell us that Cupertino giant has also patched security flaws in iOS 8.3, but there is one of particular interest. Here are news for jailbreakers, Apple has also credited “TaiG Jailbreak Team” for discovering the security flaw in the “Backup” system.

It’s labeled CVE-2015-1087, and described as a backup bug that can let an attacker to use the backup system to get the access to restricted locations of the file system.

Maybe this vulnerability was used by the TaiG team in their the iOS 8.1.1 – iOS 8.1.2 jailbreak. Cupertino company had patched some security vulnerabilities in iOS 8.1.3 that had blocked the TaiG jailbreak and PP Jailbreak.

This is another reason why jailbreakers on iOS 8.1.2 or lower should avoid upgrading to iOS 8.3 and should be very careful while installing jailbreak tweaks or managing file system.

The jailbreak iOS 8.3 possibilities are prospective. TaiG team has claimed that they’re working on a iOS 8.2 jailbreak, and maybe a jailbreak for iOS 8.3. It is not clear now what impact the security vulnerability patch in the backup system used by the TaiG team will have on the iOS 8.3 jailbreak update.

Also last month TaiG organized a major jailbreak summit in China with some of the brightest persons in the community, and in a recent open letter the Pangu Team said it would continue its work exploiting iOS devices.
