How to Change iPhone Charging Sound [Jailbreak Tweak]

Users who are annoyed by the default sound you get each time the iPhone is plugged in to a power source can use one iOS 8 jailbreak tweak to change this iPhone plugged in sound. The tweak is simple and can make your days brighter.

Usually you can hear the same iPhone charger plug in sound with the vibration when you are charging the handset. How can you get rid of the loud beep or vibration? Use Beep Beep jailbreak tweak created just for users who are looking on how to change iPhone charging sound.

Follow the instruction and you’ll successfully reach your goal.

iPhone Charging Sound Change with Cydia Tweak

Step 1. Beep Beep is a free Cydia store package which can be downloaded on the BigBoss repo.

Step 2. Install the tweak.

Step 3. The new tool installs its pane into Settings where you can configure vibration and sound for charging.

Step 4. You can turn on or off this tweak.

Step 5. If Beep Beep is enabled you can enable / disable vibration and sound. If you disable them there will be no sound made when you connect your iOS 8 iPhone to a power source. This way you have nothing to worry about in case someone is sleeping in your room.

Step 6. This Cydia program also makes sure the iPhone display doesn’t wake up when it is being charged. Note that when you are using this particular feature all your Activator gestures won’t work if they rely on your power source events.

Unfortunately, it is currently impossible to assign custom sounds to your charging iPhone with this tweak. Such an option might be available in the future allowing users to assign their custom tunes to the charging sound.
