Samsung Galaxy S6 vs iPhone 6: Compare Fingerprint Scanner and Touch ID

When users compare Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 the first thing they pay attention at is the fingerprint sensor used in both smartphones. Samsung followed Apple and also brought this new feature to its new gadget. It works pretty similar to the iOS Touch ID option, and we wish to share one video on Samsung Galaxy S6 vs. iPhone 6 regarding this one cool and must-have-today finger scanner.

Both S6 and S6 Edge get the fingerprint scanner that works from a single tap. This does remind of the Touch ID option in Apple smartphone’s line. The presentation of the new-generation Galaxy devices was held in Barcelona. Samsung took a chance to announce its devices at Mobile World Congress to attract as many media and potential customers as possible.

This time the fingerprint scanner should be much better than on previous Samsung products. The company made it more reliable and introduced some significant changes. If the S5 disappointed a lot of people, this time the smartphone manufacturer did a better job and improved its handsets.

iPhone 6 vs. Galaxy S6 Scanners

The new scanner offered by Samsung adopts a lot of things from Apple’s Touch ID. The company calls it TouchWiz that doesn’t require swiping a finger over the Home button. This time you can only tap on this button once to let the scanner reading your fingerprint. In order to remember your print it will ask you to touch the scanner several times.

It should be easy to use the feature on both Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6. On previous models users couldn’t get it to work right.

When you watch the video of Samsung Galaxy S6 vs iPhone 6 you will notice that Apple’s smartphone unlocks faster than S6:

At the same time, the TouchWiz works just as good as Touch ID, so Samsung did a good job improving its options and making the fingerprint sensor similar to Apple’s.
