Landscape Mode iOS 8 iPhone Tweak for Locked Rotation and Videos

Users who like to keep their rotation lock enabled because they are tired of their iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 jumping from portrait to landscape orientation all the time, might still like their smartphone to display videos in landscape mode. You can easily do so by going to Control Center and disabling rotation lock each time you are about to watch a video, or there is an easier solution for fans of iOS 8 jailbreak tweaks.

There is a one interesting landscape mode iPhone tweak that automatically makes your smartphone enter landscape orientation while watching videos even with rotation lock being turned on. The tweak is free to download from Cydia [you can find it in Big Boss repo]. It is called AutoRotateVideos.

How to Enter Landscape Mode While Watching a Video on iPhone [with Rotation Lock Enabled]

Step 1. Download AutoRotateVideos Cydia iOS 8 tweak and install it.

Step 2. Launch Settings and choose the pane which appeared there after you got the new tool.

Step 3. Turn on the program. You can also turn it off if you want to disable it.

Step 4. Choose how you wish the videos to rotate. You can leave it auto-detect or select left or right rotation.

Step 5. That’s it. You can now launch videos and enjoy watching them in landscape mode all the time.

There is nothing to worry about. Keep your rotation lock on as with the new tweak installed your iDevice will always automatically enter landscape mode whenever you watch a video. You will find it in portrait mode each time you close the video.

Note that AutoRotateVideos doesn’t support all applications. Some might not work.
