How to Add App Grabbers to iOS 8 Lock Screen [Jailbreak Tweak]

On the iOS 8 iPhone, no matter if you are jailbroken or not, you can find one grabber on your Lock screen which provides you with a fast access to iOS Camera application. You can use it to quickly take photographs and create videos. With iOS 8 Lock screen tweak called GrabberApp8 you can double this grabber and get two instead of one.

Since this is Cydia tweak you can use it only if you have jailbroken your firmware. You can download it at no cost so let’s see what it offers.

App Grabber Lock Screen iOS 8 Jailbreak Tweak

The free GrabberApp8 is available on BigBoss repository. It allows users adding a second app grabber to their Lock screen. You can assign any application to it and even change the program that is located in your camera application grabber.

Both grabbers appear at the bottom of your screen. You have to swipe up one of them and the application you will assign to it can be opened with ease. You still have to use your passcode to bypass Lock screen.

How to Use GrabberApp8 Grabbers on the Lock Screen

Step 1. Download and install the tweak.

Step 2. Go to Settings. Here you will see the preferences pane which allows turning on and off app grabbers [one or both].

Step 3. In the new Settings pane you can choose which apps to associate with the two app grabbers.

Step 4. To apply the changes you are making you should click on Respring.

Step 5. Most applications should launch after you click on the grabber. But some might not work this way.

Note that even after you change the app associated with the camera grabber, its icon will not change.
