Install Proclivity Cydia Alternative On The Jailbroken Device

Now you can install Proclivity as Cydia alternative. In December last year, everyone was talking about iMods, a brand new jailbreak store that wants to replace Cydia tweaks on your iOS device. There’s another one that appears this year.

The upcoming jailbreak tweaks store Proclivity looks like Cydia, but it is more like the iOS App Store. One common with App Store feature is that it can download and install tweaks in the background.

This app will particularly allows you to manage all your jailbreak tweaks, update them when new updates arrive and easily uninstall them. That's why the developers are calling Proclivity a package management app rather than a full blown tweaks store.

This store has an easy to use interface and a design that is modern as 2015. Blur animations and other UI elements makes it feel right at home on iOS 8. Another great feature called Proclivity-Load will let you to use a tweak without having to restart the SpringBoard. Unlike iMods, Proclivity app supports all of Cydia’s repositories and can even link your Cydia account to show the packages you’re using.

This app is still in beta, so a lot of the aforementioned features will not work at current time. On the Proclivity website you can find the list of working features.

If you have got a jailbroken iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus you can try out it right now. Regretfully, now the Cydia alternative doesn’t work on older iOS devices and requires iOS 8.1 or later. To try out Proclivity, do the following steps:

Launch Cydia store. Navigate to Sources>Edit>Add and type in the following text

Once the repository is installed, search for Proclivity and install Proclivity Cydia as alternative.
After it’s installed, click on Settings and pull down to refresh the list of available packages.
