iOS 8.1.1 / iOS 8.2 Beta Jailbreak Launched Called TaiG

While Pangu jailbreak cannot untether the recently released iOS 8.1.1 and the new iOS 8.2 which is currently available in beta version, the hackers from China continue to surprise users. The new company called Taig has presented the fresh iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak called TaiG which also works on the 8.2 beta firmware.

Apple killed the exploits used in Pangu jailbreak, but iH8sn0w hacker has already proved that iOS 8.1.1 can be jailbroken though his demo haven’t become public and it is not clear whether he is going to make it public. Taig is a new player in the jailbreaking community, but their jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 and 8.2 beta TaiG is now the only way to untether your smartphone or tablet if you have updated your operating system to the most recent version.

Some users think that jailbreak iOS 8.2 beta / iOS 8.1.1 TaiG tool might be based on the exploit found by iH8sn0w, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. You should be attentive and careful if you decide to jailbreak your Apple device using TaiG because the company that launched this tool is known for using pirated applications in China and running the app store with pirated products. Well, you have probably heard about Taig before as this store was first installed with Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool but later it was gone from the program.

The new TaiG jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 supports the same gadgets as iOS 8 firmware. It is also believed to work on iOS 8.1 and even earlier iOS 8 version. Still both iOS 8 and 8.1 can be successfully jailbroken with Pangu which is confirmed to be safe and reliable.

Right now TaiG supports only Windows computers and doesn’t run on Mac. If you ever decide to try the tool, just do not check the box which will install the pirated application store on your iDevice.

How to Fix iOS 8.1 WiFi Performance Using WiFried

Apple has launched iOS 8.1.1 update last week, with iOS 8.1 WiFi performance issue that some users suffered after upgrading to iOS 8. The update solved such common problems as connecting to the Wi-Fi network, speeds being extremely slow and dropping connection intermittently.

Users who have a jailbroken device can’t update to iOS 8.1, and hence, cannot prevent their devices from this issue.

Mario Ciabarra, the best known developer for his work on big Intelliborn tweaks like MyWi and My3G, claims that he has identified why iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite users are faced with Wi-Fi issues on iOS 8.

WiFried is a new jailbreak tweak introduced by Mario Ciabarra fixes the issue on iOS 8 — iOS 8.1. As was promised by the developer few days back, you can get WiFried tweak on Cydia for free. So if you cannot use iOS 8.1 WiFi performance fix, you can try this tweak.

WiFried allows users to enable and disable AWDL/AirDrop support using a simple toggle. Ciabarra stated that the cause of the Wi-Fi performance issues is Apple’s choice to use Bonjour over AWDL for AirDrop and.

Mario explains users that to fix the WiFi issue they should disable AWDL/AirDrop from the Control Center, which brings Wi-Fi performance back to normal. If your device is jailbroken and SSH into your device, you’ll see that keystrokes reflect almost immediately on the terminal, rather than appearing after a delay.

Now in Control Center when you click on the AirDrop button, in addition to Everyone, Contacts and Off, you will get one more option, called WiFried. When you select it, WiFried will rise your Wi-Fi performance.

You can check the fix iOS 8.1 WiFi issue on video below:

Now Popular Apex 2 Tweak Is Updated For iOS 8.1 [Install]

Install Apex 2 on iOS 8.1 as this tweak has been already updated for the latest iOS. Over the past several weeks Apex 2, together with several well-loved tweaks from the jailbreak community, has gained a new update that adds an important new features to the main version that support iOS 8.1.

This very popular tweak created by A3Tweaks helps users to create app stacks of up to five total apps. Users can replace those ugly folders by effectively allowing app icons to act as folders themselves. It can be used to group similar apps in an lovely bundle. For example, using such option as tapping and swiping up on the Music app can be configured to open options to launch iTunes or Store Spotify, which at the very least looks more attractive than the iOS folder system uses by default.

The iOS 8.1 jauilbreak support is an important addition to this of Apex 2 update version, but it’s not the only one plus. The developer behind the tweak also fixed some bugs. The one that has been seen icons layouts reset during a respring. And the other is annoying glitch that meant that some icons wouldn’t be hidden when they should be.

Those who want to install Apex 2 on iOS 8.1device can download it for $2.99 right now, also including iPad. Users having Apex 2 for iOS 7 users can now update to Apex 2 latest version with support for iOS 8.1 for free. For some reason iOS 8.0.x is not supported.

I think that Apex 2 is so useful tweak that anyone should have it on a jailbroken device.

Apple Hires Pangu Team To Plug Three Gaps In iOS 8.1.1 Update

Can it be possible that Apple hires Pangu team? It can be.

In order to perform an any kind of iOS jailbreak, the jailbreakers must found holes in the software and then exploit them. In general, there exists working tandem of several exploits requirement.

The Pangu8 jailbreak for iOS 8 / 8.1 used a huge amount of security lapses in allowing us to achieve the Cydia's holy grail once more. Pangu team explores iOS 8.1.1 exploits to do the 8.1.1 jailbreak. As Apple has just recently plugged three gaps in iOS 8.1.1update that had made Pangu8 possible. Some Chinese hackers did it and for discovering the flaws they have been given due credits. Apple hires Pangu team to do it?

We all knew that Pangu8 Jailbreak for iOS 8 and 8.1could face with abrupt end after Apple launched iOS 8.1.1update to public. Any user updating will unfortunately not be able to jailbreak at current time. The best way now is to run iOS 8.1, the most recent jailbreakable build, which gives you the opportunity to get Pangu8 at any time you want.

In most cases, iOS 8.1.1 isn’t a remarkable update and in truth doesn’t contains real performance tweaks and bug fixes. But the three security patches that were outlined in a accompanying iOS 8.1.1's roll out document give us a bit of hope that it will help Pangu team to find the new way to jailbreak.

Three security lapses are: dyld, kernel, sandbox. They will play the main roles in Pangu8. For example, dyld enables a local user to "execute unsigned code,". As many local users with jailbroken iOS device have been doing for the past month or so.

The kernel and sandbox defects each of them open up the entrance for destructive apps to launch arbitrary code / binaries through the entire software, and so even though it’s frustrating that the jailbreak is no more, you can definitely see and realize why Apple company required to tighten things up so rapidly.

Whether there’ll be some other jailbreak on iOS is someone’s suppose. Generally hackers come through with one main untethered jailbreak for each iOS release, however with iOS 8.2 and 8.3 in the pipeline, probably we’ll be treated to more on this occasion.

Certainly jailbreaks got means to do the next jailbreak, so we’ll wait in hope.

Does iPhone iOS 8.1.1 Jailbreak Update Exist?

Now all the user who has got jailbreaken device are waiting for iPhone iOS 8.1.1 Jailbreak update after Apple this morning launched iOS 8.1.1update to public for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
But there are bad news-the iOS 8.1.1update blocks the Pangu8 Jailbreak.

At this time Apple’s iOS 8 software owned courtesy of the Pangu team. The Pangu8 Jailbreak helped thousands of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users to access Cydia and its huge amount of tweaks. But it so sad but this opportunity comes to an end.

A few days back The Pangu team confirmed that iOS 8.1.1 beta patches the exploits used in the Pangu jailbreak:

Apple has released iOS 8.1.1 beta to developers. After our tests, it has patched the jailbreak exploit. Anyone who wish to jailbreak, please seize the chance to upgrade to iOS 8.1 and do so before Apple officially releases iOS 8.1.1.

So if you wish to retain your device’s jailbreaking potential you must avoid the latest software update. If you’re already jailbroken stay on iOS 8.1 and don’t update to iOS 8.1.1. At current time Apple is signing iOS 8.1, but in the near future will stop signing it.

So by the time Apple will close the signing window, you should downgrade to iOS 8.1. If you will not do it you’ll be stuck on iOS 8.1.1 if you upgrade. There will be no way to downgrade back to the old jailbreakable firmware.

It will be great if iPhone iOS 8.1.1 Jailbreak update will appear soon. When Pangu or another dedicated team of developers can jailbreak a iOS 8.1.1 release.

iH8sn0w Released Jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 On Video

Can you believe that jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 on video has already existed. iH8sn0w posted a new video on his YouTube channel of an iPad 3 (J2a model) that runs an iOS 8.1.1 untethered jailbreak.

The 8.1.1 update, which fixed a number of bugs in older iOS device models while refining the general user experience, and effectively plugged a three holes that the Pangu team had exploited to provide an latest version of untethered iOS 8.0 / 8.1 jailbreak.

But despite the delay, the hard-working haker and security experts have put a lot of efforts, and one of the mostpopular names in the business – iH8sn0w – has just pushed forward an untethered iOS 8.1.1jailbreak.

There is one suggestion a firmware can be jailbroken, but it doesn’t mean that we’re guaranteed to see a public release in the near future. Concerning that fact that in past iH8sn0w has demonstrated few jailbreaks that never saw the light of day.

Some iH8sn0w's notes from the video description:

Been working on this since last Friday with @XanderKitteh ...This uses some new research. . . (not bootrom related[aw ik], but not HFS either). Still only limited to working with 30pin devices due to no serial over lightning.

This does not mean a public release of something jailbreaking-related is coming from me anytime soon. So don’t update.

Look at jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 on video below:

While it’s always great to hear that the latest iOS version is jailbreakable, but it is highly recommended not to update to iOS 8.1.1.

Obviously, nobody knows if this jailbreak will lead to a public jailbreak. And together with Apple launching 8.2 betas to developers it could have the upper hand.

For those user who has already updated to iOS 8.1.1, Apple company is still signing iOS 8.1. It means that you still have a chance to downgrade to iOS 8.1 if you plan to jaibreak your iOS device in future.

Why It Is Better To Downgrade iOS 8.1.1 To iOS 8.1

If you ask why it is better to downgrade iOS 8.1.1 to iOS 8.1. Here is answer. The Apple company just launched iOS 8.1.1, which kills the Pangu8 jailbreak. The only good news is that it is still signing iOS 8.1. This means that you have time to install iOS 8.1 and jailbreak your device.

But you should act very fast. Apple can be very unpredictable when it is going to closing its signing windows. You will not be able to upgrade or downgrade to iOS 8.1, after the window for iOS 8.1 will be closed. You’ll have to upgrade directly to iOS 8.1.1, which will make your device unjailbreakable.
If your device not jailbroken, or if you’re still running iOS 7.1.2, it’s time to update to iOS 8.1.

But if you has already updated to iOS 8.1.1and in future you plan to jailbreak your device you should better to downgrade iOS 8.1.1 to iOS 8.1.

Follow these few steps to downgrade iOS 8.1.1 to iOS 8.1

Please note: At current time you can downgrade iOS 8.1.1 to iOS 8.1 though iTunes, because signing window for this firmware is still open for users. But hurry up because it can be closed at any time.

Step 1. Please download iOS 8.1 firmware for your device.

Step 2. Download and install on device the iTunes latest version .

Step 3. First enter DFU mode and connect your device to the computer.

Step 4. After iTunes will detect your device being in the Recovery mode click Restore and hold Shift/Option button on Windows or Mac.

Step 5. Select the firmware you need and that’s it. The work is done.

Note: If iTunes doesn’t allow you to complete this process that means that Apples closed signing window.

Is It Legal to Jailbreak an iPhone in the US?

Is it legal to jailbreak an iPhone or iPad or any other device that is using copyrighted content in the USA? According to the DMCA law it is illegal to jailbreak iDevices and other gadgets, unless there is an exemption which is obtained by the EFF each year. The Electronic Frontier Foundation has to fight for USA iOS 8 jailbreak legality and other jailbreaks once again in 2014 and this company has already filed jailbreak legal petition with the Copyright Office to get the exemption for the procedure under DMCA.

Jailbreak Legal Petition Filed by EFF in USA

It is worth noting that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act protects copyrighted content but still doesn’t classify the jailbreak as a crime if there is an exemption. The EFF got the exemptions for jailbreaking under DMCA back in 2012 and earlier in 2010. Now, it is doing it again and hopes to get the exemption in 2014 so that users get the sign of relief till 2016.

Is jailbreak legal in USA in 2014? It is legal right now while it is protected by the exemption to DMCA and unless the Copyright Office doesn’t extend this exemption it will stay legal after Christmas.

Hopefully the rule will be renewed for smartphones and expanded to tablet devices as well. Note that even thought you can legally jailbreak iOS 8 iPhone on Windows and Mac with Pangu 8 jailbreak tool Apple will consider your warranty being voided once you jailbreak.
