iOS 8.1.2 features list is out. Apple company has launched iOS 8.1.2 this afternoon to public install for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users running iOS 8. It brings bug fixes and other improvements. The latest release also contains fix for a problem regarding ringtones purchased from Apple being removed from devices.
For users that face with the reported issues involving ringtones purchased through iTunes, Apple directs users to itunes.com/restore-tones for recovering those purchases.
Today’s iOS 8.1.2 release comes three weeks after Apple launched iOS 8.1.1 to the public1 on November 17th, which brought about some bug fixes and a blocked the Pangu jailbreak. It was also targeted to improve iPhone 4s and iPad 2 performance under iOS 8. The software has since been exploited by the Chinese TaiG jailbreak. But it is recommended not to upgrade to 8.1.2 as it’s possible that this release kills the jailbreak as well.
Apple released iOS 8.1 on October 20th. It brought the support for Apple Pay to iPhone 6 iPhone 6 Plus, iPad mini 3 users, and iPad Air 2.
Apple issued a beta version of the upcoming iOS 8.2 release on November 18th for developers. It was launched alongside with WatchKit for building and testing applications for the Apple Watch. It is expected to be released in spring 2015.
