Apple vs. Jailbreak iPhone 6 / 6 Plus iOS 8

Pangu iOS 8 and 8.1 and now TaiG iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak tools can untether your iPhone 6, 6 Plus and earlier models up to iPhone 4S. Still there is one Apple about iOS 8 jailbreak point of view that goes against millions of minds of jailbreakers and fans of jailbreaking.

The company always said it didn’t support jailbreak. For example, when you choose to install Cydia on your iDevice you void Apple warranty and in case anything goes wrong the company will not fix your smartphone or tablet for you. When you jailbreak Apple iPhone 6 or any other iPhone you take your personal risks as hackers ask users to jailbreak with caution.

Apple’s own purchase policy asks customers to stay away from jailbreaking. The company once again points that any modifications to the iOS software mean you lost your chance to repair the gadget under Apple warranty. It even mentions the term “jail-breaking” for software modifications.

While iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak is not recommended by Apple as well as any other firmware version jail-break, users continue to use Pangu utility and even the new TaiG program to free from Apple’s restrictions.

It’s just curious that the Cupertino-based giant has broken the term “jailbreak” into two words “jail-break” meaning you can’t break your iOS device as well as jailbreak it if you wish to use your warranty.

In case you have jailbroken in the past but wish to use Apple warranty, you are highly recommended to restore the device via clean restore so that the traces of the jailbreak get removed.
