How to Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 iPhone, iPad, iPod touch with Pangu for Mac

iOS 7.1.2 jailbreak untethered created by a team of hackers from China now supports Mac devices. Windows PC were supported with the first official release of this exploit and now its updated version 1.1 comes with support for new iOS 7.1.2 Apple platform.

The previous release had Chinese interface and now everything is in English which is easier to understand if you don’t know Chinese language. You can download and use jailbreak 7.1.2 on Mac via this instruction.

The original file is located on the exploit’s site [http://pangu.io/]. This is official and you can download either Windows or Mac version or even both.

The guide below is for Mac only. But you can also find the Windows tutorial for iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak untethered with Pangu.

How to Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 with Pangu [for Mac]


You can use this program if you have iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad 2-4, iPhone 4-5S or iPod touch 5G.

Step 1. Backup your iDevice.

Step 2. Turn off your passcode though Settings app. Go to General menu and select Passcode Lock On option where you can toggle Turn Passcode Off.

Step 3. You have to use the most recent version of iTunes.

Step 4. Get the Mac version of Pangu [the link is mentioned above].

Step 5. Plug your gadget to your Mac.


Step 6. Launch Pangu v. 1.1 by double pressing the .dmg file.


Step 7. Press on Pangu icon you see to launch the application.


Step 8. Click on Jailbreak to begin and do as the on-screen guide says.

Step 9. Change the date on your handset or tablet to June 2 through Settings app – General menu – Date & Time option.

Step 10. The program continues to jailbreak and you will soon see Pangu application on your Home screen.

Step 11. Click on the Pangu app to continue and confirm you wish to open Pangu.

Step 12. The Mac iOS 7.1.2 jailbreak will reboot your gadget a couple of times and then you will find Cydia installed on your Home display.
