Dual-Boot iPhone iOS 7 and iOS 6 to Be Released

You might have heard that hacker @winocm triple-booted his iPad 2 which is capable of switching between the three operating system versions, including iOS 7, iOS 6 and iOS 5. He posted a video on YouTube showing this happening and he how promises to release a dual-boot iPhone tool to switch between iOS 6 and iOS 7. The release will be coming in the future.

Dual-Boot for iPhone for Easy Switch Between iOS 7 and iOS 6

Hacker has confirmed this news meaning we will get an opportunity to use two versions of Apple mobile firmware on iDevices. The hacker is going to become an Apple employee as reports say. It should happen this year. He said that the triple-boot is way too complex to release it as the software.

As hacker writes in this Twitter the dual-boot iOS 6 and 7 program will be available to jailbreaker “soon” but he doesn’t mention the exact date when such a tool is to be present to users.

It is not known when iOS 7.1 is to be added to the list of supported firmwares. It is jailbroken because hackers found a way to untether jailbreak iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S with this operating system. But they have jailbroken their personal smartphones and are not hurrying to release the public jailbreak for iOS 7.1 any time soon.

All previous versions of iPhone and iPad OS can be jailbroken with Evasi0n7, Evasi0n and p0sixspwn tools. Maybe we could hear more about the dual-boot program during the hacker conference in April. We will share news with you as soon as we get them.
